Hello!

Hi,

I am from southern Texas and a newbie to the breed (not completely). But I am defiantly looking forward to getting to know everyone on here and getting to know the breed a little better. With that said Christmas is around the corner and I would like to get my family a dog. My daughter (1yr 10months) loves dogs and is thrilled when she goes to her grandparent's house to see their Chihuahuas. She is the only child and I am not planning on having another one any time soon, (lol) therefore I am looking to find her a companion.

I use to own 2 rescued APBT from the shelter that I grew very close to...They became my best friends for close to 4 years. Unfortunately while I was on away for vacation out of the country for a month the dog sitter (my brother in law) let them out to the backyard while the gate was open and the dogs ran loose. He could not retrieve them and when I got home from the trip I was crushed when I found out the news. I posted an award for $500 for each dog returned safely. Nothing..................I never saw them again. I even tried the shelters, still nothing. It's been 2 years now since I lost them and still miss them when I think about them.

Getting back to the point. Can anyone direct me to a good reputable kennel that currently have puppies?

If you want to learn a little more about the breed, you're most definatley in the right place. This place is amazing, although you will find some people on here who.. well, they're not the greatest things, you can meet some of the best people ever. I have learnt what I wanted and even more since I came here.
I hate to hear about your Pit Bull's you use to have and how they ran off without you seeing them again. But I cannot help you with finding a good breeder, but I'm sure some other members won't mind helping you.
