AGK: Do you ever have issues when 2 are on the pole at once? I learned my lesson the hard way. In the middle of the yard(more edge) w/ no break stick and one dog latched onto the other dog. Not fun...

I do mine one at a time. I you can do 2, more power to you.

We just did the pole in the snow today, about 8 inches or so. Fun, fun, fun.

I like how you've got it close enough to the ground. I hate seeing people have it 6 feet off the ground and hanging from it!

I have never had an incident (yet) with any of the dogs I currently own. Mia typically has no intrest in the springpole, she was only on it for that video because I enticed her to do it, but typically she could care less about it, I have to actually make her work or she would never leave my couch. Koda is really my only dog that actually likes to work and he is still young (he turns 1 on January 4th) While he is still a young pup, he is, I believe, fully out and is by far the most dominent dog here, Mia is a bit more passive so she lets things slide where as Koda won't. The funny thing is, Mia will bow down to Koda when he turns up the heat on her. He is the only dog she does this with, if she even sees another dog she is 10 times the maniac Koda is. Having raised multiple dogs in my home for years has shown me that in most cases they will follow a pack mentality if raised that way. The only time we have an issue is if there is food involved or one of the other dogs is getting attention from my daughter. Koda is a bit too attached to my 5 year old daughter and has snatched the new pup right out of my daughters lap to maul her several times in the last 2 months for something as little as my daughter talking to the pup in a baby tone. He has jealousy issues when it comes to my little girl showing any interest in another, and is a bit too protective of her. We have already started to seperate Aniya and Koda when my daughter is around just to avoid the situation all together. Koda and Niya will both be chain dogs come spring.

As for the Springpole, I feel they get much more work in if all 4 feet can be on the ground when working the spring, Having a dog actually hang can cause alot of problems like broken hardwear, and if they're hanging off ground they arn't working their ass ends at all so I perfer them to be able to get it and bring it down to where they can be on all 4 and really dig in and work it.....
