Mia need your help on this or anybody else!!!

The dogs lick my legs after I've been biking real hard. They love the salt!

When my dog was a pup he was eating ground and liked it very well. When I let him lose on a field he will spot some ground to eat and go after that. He was totaly crazy about it. Now a days he doesn't do this any more.

 

:confused: My dog licks screen doors, screened windows, speaker gaurds.....pretty much anything with little holes in it....I guess it feels funny to his tounge

 

Yes mia shes the only one, how long im not sure, but we have not changed her diet.

 

marty, did you try the mineral block if so did it work? just curious.

 

didn't read the whole thread, i.e., postings, but I'd say she's trying to compensate for the lack of minerals she's not obtaining. Not too uncommon. Perhaps you can impliment a supplement to her diet?....

 

Anemia?

My dog licks my hardwood floors. I discovered he licked areas that ants had hidden in. Any chance it's something simple like she likes grubs, lol?

I guess pancreatitis can also cause this, as can other g.i. disturbances, but they're not as common as anemia.

 

If the mineral block doesnt work, then maybe she is just bored.

 

my girls used to do that.......i guess its just a hobby haha.....but surely they stopped tho

 

Well I have not noticed her doing this lately, no I didn't get the mineral block, shes doing pretty good though, I will be going back to work hopfuly first of the year and she will have one, it seems to happen more in the summer though, heres a pic of her today watching reddy play with the tire...



And yes see needs walking, we think we found a good place across the road to get her done

 

I have never heard of stool smelling like petunias, sorry. Sh!t is sh!t. It smells!

 

maybe just maybe its salt especially if she does it more in the summer. as she dehydrates she would get back the water from her bowl but not the salt.
