If anyone is willing to pay that much for a dog like one of those they need a good slap about the head!!

Fuck, I didn't knew that the bully trend started to produce a european version taylored to brittish laws, I wonder who is paying that much, if any.

Taso these type of breeders always find a victim, take £50 off the asking price and the buyer will think they have a bargain :D:D Ummmm maybe i should trawl the dog pounds and find me a couple that resemble these dogs, breed em up and knock em out for £900 :D;)

I know a guy I went school with that has had two litters of AB/pit X Sbt/pit and he sold each one for £600 a piece as Red nosed pits to all the local hoodrats!!!

There really are some dumbfucks about.

    @ BGD - yeah i agree
@ oldtymer - that is what an olde tyme bulldogge is though..... a mixture of lots of different breeds that tried to invent a healthier bulldogge that may "look and act like" the bulldogges of 1700-1800's...... im not claiming my dogs could catch and hold a bull but there by far the some of the best conditioned and mentally tuned otb ive seen...
that dog at £1000 is to buy the dog - not for stud! and if you look at some of the dogs on the last link given they seem to be bulldogges of high athleticism...... im a semi-pro athlete and my two dotb can easliy manage my 8mile interval training.....

as i said before - ive taken the "research and patience" advice.....

are you kidding.it will take many many many many years to get what you call something akin to the "bulldogges" from some 300 years ago.all they have done is create a big ugly bully type dog.imo the old decent bulldog out there is the am/bull.no amount of backyard breeding and cross breeding is going to catch up on them anytime soon.feck.....if it was that easy.....someone would have created the original staffy.....the one that helped create the apbt.

tried and may.......2 words that mean nothing "final". eg=i "tried" to be heavyweight champion of the world.doesnt fecking mean im even close to being it.lol.im not taking piss.if your happy with your mongrels thats great, they are your pets,im sure they enjoy you as much as vice versa.but.if your really thinking they are somewhat remotely similar to dog from way back in history then imo you might as well go and buy a pbt from some bullshitting backyard peddler. cos all you have bought imo int that otb stuff is a "sheep in wolfs clothing".by your admission you want a bonafide gamebred pbt yet you own a dog,not a type of breed,as its a mongrel, that was created to look the "part".if you believe those dogs you have are close to the real bulldogge of old in the most important ways then you deserve only getting some sort of inadequate pbt.breeding a few bull breeds together a pedigree long gone animal it does not maketh.

I can ensure you the breeder of both my dotb only produces quality pups and uses practices that ensure only dogs of high quality are sold.... even then not at an overly high price - in my opinion this bloke has the best interest of these "pet" dogs at heart.... peddlars are a menace to all dog breeds, infact all animal breeds!!
yes when it comes down to it these animals are pets - although they are kept in kennals and are exercised in a specific manner as i want them to be conditioned to the best of their ability........ i dont live in dreamland guys, im aware of what these dogs are and are not!! its not as if im away out to go and buy a bull and see what my boys have got is it, come on seriously!!

you gents are bull&terrier fanciers........... so you understand my fascination with the breed surely?

W.B&T your wrong there, we are not bull & terrier fanciers we are Bulldog fanciers. Most of us call our dog's bulldog's, not bull terrier's, apbt's etc. As they are down from the original working bulldogs used at the bulls.

I don't know owt on these dog's you have but from some of the link's posted. They look to me like accident's waiting to happen. Bull breed's and manwork don't generally go well together.

especially in uk were bullbreeds more and more are demonised.......besides the fact no bull breed was ever produced originally to be a man-stopper!!!!

couldnt agree more - none of my dogs have ever been protection tested/trained.... although that is the new thing on the otb scene right now! each to their own and all that...
i stand corrected - it just seems a bit odd that i keep getting questioned on my desire to own a real "bulldog" when thats what brings you guys to this forum in the first place..... surely you understand my fascination??

i keep them in kennals so that there not stuck in the house all day and unsupervised with each other............. got a big back garden in a rural area so there is plenty of room! i enjoy their company to be 100% honest and enjoy training them / with them... me and my girlfriend also just enjoy taking them for walks - the puppy is hers and defo more of a real pet
