In your opinion who makes the best pulling/training harness on the market today? Looking to buy soon. Thanks in advance

I have bought harnesses from a couple different places and personally I like the quality of CDPits harnesses.

the best is one that is tailormade to fit your dog, not a generic ~one size fits all~ type. (small, medium, large, x large)
i had mine made by a local puller, took measurements of the dogs and built from there.
there is a woman whose name escapes me at the moment who is an avid puller and makes very high quality harnesses, perhaps someone else will remember who i am thinking of

Seconding! You won't get ANYTHING better than a Brown Dog Design harness. Missy V. is the BEST - I won't use anything else (and it was Powwow who pushed until I got it and I definitely don't regret the better quality pulls I'm getting out of Ryker).

Pulling 5,989lbs...in his old harness, it was HALF that on the same track.

It always amazes me how mutch some of these dogs can pull. Ryker is a strikeing dog. I was impressed with him when I met him in person. He is the deffinitiion of what a show bred non gamebred dog should look like. May not be gamebred but he looks like what a bulldog should look like. Kudos to ShaddowWolf for the CGC and other possative work she does for the breed.I truely respect what she does. I want her to take on my woman as an understudy lmao.....Shaddow Wolf answer my damn P.M. I sent you like a month ago:D lmao

if you just use it for dragging some chains or a tire any weightpull harness wil do but for the contests i think the best is always 1 fitted to that specific dog.
Those from Brown dog design look very good indeed.

For conditioning purposes, I have an adjustable harness from O'Brien's that I love.

For weight pull, a properly fitted harness in a necessity IMO

  12. Very interesting. I don't know anything about weight pulling but from what I can gather it seems that a dogs performance is related to the quality of the harness?
So a dog that looses may actually be a better puller than the winner except for the harness?
Very interesting, you learn something new every day.

gringo, If a dog is wearing a harness that doesnt fit right or isnt made correctly, than it will hurt his pulling technique or style and yes it can keep him from his or hers true potential.

Of course you can have the best made harness on your dog, and its not gonna make the dog a good pull dog, but in that same aspect, if you have a good pull dog, a harness that doesnt fit right or is made wrong, will keep him or her from pulling at its true potential.

Missy V. and CD pits are the 2 names that come to mind (and I don't pull... yet....) but have heard them enough to know that serious pullers get there stuff from them
