What do you guys think, or your experiences with Robert Lemm's free conditioning keep? Did you get the results of endurance he states?

I am confused on how to clearly determine M/S. Any advice?

it is a basic interval type training....ramp up then ramp down and then ramp up....the time between ramping down and ramping up is the recovery time....the basic idea is for the recovery time to decrease as the before and after sets increase...maximum stress is just the dog going all out for a certain amount of time....marking the time...when recovered (gathered himself) placed back on the mill and brought back to maximum stress....
it is a keep where it is a must to know the ins and outs of your dog, especially his individual characteristics as you have to constantly read him during the work...it is not a keep where you can go get 'Joe's' dog from down the road and use the keep effciently...the millmaker talks thru that in an interview i read and i believe it is in the videos....good luck...US1

Thanks Slim! That's what I got out of it. So now I know I am going in the right direction. I believe this will help my dog's work.

yeah but what if one of your dogs doesnt run flat out and has to be baited????????
what do you do when you get a bad recovery do you rest the next day or do reduce the work the next day or do you stick at the time till his heart rate go back to normal(same or less than the day before?

    not trying to be difficult
    but who built the slatmill
because to do respiratory recovery method you need the right type of mill
such as a robert lemm mill or a big thicket mill which is a close second
it cannot be done on a rrc or a hickmill on any mill built like those

if your dog doesn't run all out you gotta get him to do it and you might have to use a bike or a 4 wheeler

Also, the feed on this keep, does it have to be precise? I have been feeding TOTW Salmon Formula, Red Cell, MVP M.A.S.S., Chondrosamine Plus, Bio-Musculoskeletal Pac. I have a beef heart and raw beef bones as well. And coconut oil.

The Lemm keep is the only one I have ever used. When you get a bad recovery you do the same time as the day before an till you get a good one.And if you still get bad recoverys this shows you how much work your dog can stand. Please remember not all dogs can stand the same amount of work as others.

if anyone has a lemm mill and wants to trade straight up for a gambler mill with less than 30 minutes on it let me know.

  19. i believe with M/S a bad recovery calls for the same workout until good recovery. repeat the days work tomorrow. check out gamedogs.org i believe there's a long read on it there.

It has some good and some bad. I have his video and its basically saying buy his mill and his methods are better than others.
From what it sounds like, he says run your dog on his mill only and you dont have to hand walk it. Bullshit man, and im no dog expert. JAMES CRENSHAW says you cant hand walk a dog too much. ANd walk ten miles a day in the keep for 12 weeks.
