It all depends on your agreement with the transporter , always get it in writing with his/her signature.

  3. she says she bit her and ran off. the purpose was to other peoples opinion on whether or not I should pursue the matter further. After the advice I will go with my gut and stay on this lady to get her to pay for my partners dog.

  4. This is so frustrating I want Kerry kittenswort to know my "PROSPECT" was lost due to her negligence

  5. this just happened about a week ago

you can take her to small clams court . just file on her . ask a lawyer if do you need to do it in your state or hers . they will answer that for free . you can check to see if you can also make a clam on how many pups she would have through her life if she was for breeding . but you may just get the price your out if you don't check on everything you can clam and ask for. and have proof to back it up . just ask a lawyer they want charge on some simple questions . if they do ask different ones .

  8. I will look into filing something against her.

If the dog bit her and ran off then yes she is completely responsible. In the animal field, you should restrain animals properly, as there is always a chance an animal can bite you, and you take on that responsibility when working with animals. That is no excuse to lose the animal.

It will depend on the laws in your area and what the original agreement was to determine how far you can take it. I doubt the compensation will be what the dog is worth to the owner however.

If the dog bit her and ran off why are You not seeking help to find this supposed missing dog?
There is power in numbers and there's a possible wealth of users that might be able to help on this forum, You should be posting photos, location, and call name of said dog as well as looking for advice on how to recover any monetary loss.
If this dog was soo valuable to you why arent you seeking our help to locate this "possible future ch" And Future CH in what sports?
I doubt You will be able to prove her possible prowess as a ch unless her dam and sire are wt pull, conformation, schutzhund, or dock diving champions.
No judge is going to allow a case to be pursued if the supposed loss was for an illegal activity. My husband and I both travel all the time as well as others from this community of Bulldog fanciers and if we have all information You can possibly give to us, someone on here just might come accross said missing dog.
While I and everyone else in the community are sorry for Your loss, I would be doing more than this "poll" to find said missing dog if it was soo valuable.

why not call the local animal shelter and or police department to let them know there is a loose dog that belongs to somebody, that will make a huge difference if/when it ends up at the pound

  17. The dog was lost in Ohio and I am the partner of the owner we live in MD if anyone is there pm me so we can try to figure something out.

  18. That is exactly what I am going to do. My partner is so torn up he is not thinking clearly. I am doing all I can to help him he was recommended to her by someone on here.

  19. I was gonna vote, but I didn't see the option of voting that pissing and moaning on a forum wasn't doing any good LOL
