Dogs sent to Africa

Have you been there? Do you KNOW how dogs are taken care of by the person that is getting them?
I check out homes even when I'm selling in the same city, state, country I live in -- doesn't matter.
I have been BADLY burned, unfortunately, by some VERY deceptive (white) buyers.

It's so bad anymore I gotta pretty much personally KNOW anyone that gets one of my dogs, so yes, I'm a bit overboard on this.

Nope, I DON'T believe people around the world are all the same when it comes to taking care of animals. You know, diversity and all that...

Not worth it for ME to send one of my dogs off to someone I know nothing about.

Brother the point I was making is that you can't generalise until you know. That is not fair. I have seen pics of Americans look after their dogs like shit, and then in the same breath I have seen guys in the states who I wish to emulate. We are all here because we have an affinity for the animals we keep. No one wants the wrong people to get dogs.

Popularity of certain families changes as dogs win and certain families are hyped up. Some families never took off and didn't make it in our climate and ranked out big time as did the offspring. Some where and are managed very well creating families and sub branches of families.

Exactly! I don't KNOW until I go! And yes, like I said above, that goes for my neighborhood, my city, my state, my country. It ALL has to be checked out. The farther away it is, the more it DOES need to be checked out!

Is there something wrong with not trusting people with one of my dogs until I know them? (Last litter 8 years ago?)

Well, I'm not being unfair to anyone! NO ONE gets a dog (from me) until I know them and know something of the area they live in. All are treated the same! I'm being fair to the DOGS!

And you are right. Some of the worst are right here in the States.

 

I bred Buiscuit and I also bred Jungle. Chiquita was MY dog so I KNOW exactly how anything off of her is bred because I bred her and I chose the studs. Biscuit is an Oliver X Chiquita breeding. If yo have a ped that states Ringo is the sire of buiscuit its INCORRECT. It is impossible that Ringo was the sire of Buscuit. I personaly put Joey over Chiquita on LK yard to produce the litter that Jungle came out of. Jungle is actually Combat Kids Jungle NOT Liquorice Kids Jungle. Theres a whole lot of shit going on in South Africa as to who really bred wich dogs and with regards with who's name appears on the pedigrees of the dogs.

 

This dog:- SAAPBT | South African American pitbull terrier database was put over Amber to produce Oliver. Oliver was then put over Chiquita to produce Biscuit. Buscuit was the only female of the litter an Liquorice Kids took her. It is impossible that Ringo was the sire, Ringo NEVER mated with Chiquita. I have a photo of Chiquita on my yard, I will post it, she was born on my yard, I bore the expenses of raising,delivering, stud the whole tooty and the same goes for Oliver the sire of Buscuit.

 

Biscuit is double bred to this dog Amber, so Amber appears on the bottom and the top side as the grand dam in the pedigree. Here are a couple of pics of her:-

This is Chiquita as a very young gyp, she was only little but what she lacked in size she made up with heart.

Yes thats the Joey 2X. Litter mates Black Boy, Jimmy Hendricks, Mack The Knife, the dogs weren't born on my yard as this all happened during all the trouble I had but I made the mating on LK yard with Joey to Chiquita, it's how it happened and how things turned out.
On some data bases Chiquita is reflected as Rashaads Chiquita and on other places as Georges Chiquita but Chiquita was born and raised on my yard and I made the pairing with Ringo to Amber to produce her. They were good dogs you see thats why people claim them as theirs. If the were curs I bet you a million bucks nobody would of wanted their names on the peds.

Amber looked alot like Nicky if i remember correctly, I liked those dogs and ran them for a while before I got the family I really wanted and which is now my own. Some of our early dogs were dogs bred down from those Bullyson / Bolio crosses and then later as well but coming down from LK Billy POR. I liked those alot and still have a sweet spot for them but only certain branches of that family. I always believed that combing Nicky and Billy would help that family but that was just my thinking. They did however tend to become very slow but that is what the pedigree states they should be but some of them sure had some kick ass heart they would scratch all night long. But What I found that the percentages were very low compared to other lines and families.

I would still feed a real good one today if I could find 1.

 

I also saw both Oliver and Boston, both impressive looking chocolate dogs but the back end left alot to be desired but this was a problem in this family. Heavy cow hocks and for some it didnt bother them but for others it did, there was always talk in our parts that the dog had to conditioned a certain way with those bad ass back leg, many didnt know how and lost a fair bit with them which in turn made them less popular. They were easy workers though and because of being so high strung would have done all types of work.

 

Seems everyone knows something that everyone else doesn't these days. I have heard a few stories regarding those dogs from the LK himself but I will reserve my opinion. That blood is all but gone. One jungle X biscuit male and one female. She is going to Germany at the end of the year and was bred once. PM me if you would like the LK's number. If you know of any dogs bred like this around please let me know. Although it forms a small part of my yard it is a valued part. Just something about those old school shorty swamper bolio dogs.

 

Well my exposure to those dogs were limited to a few like Diamond Dan, Mexican Blackbird, Hudson Hawk's Joey and Swamper (aka Sampson).
All impressive to yhe point that I deeply desired one. In fact HH's Joey was the result of my request to reproduce the Shack x Nicky breeding, but Shack was RIP due to snake bite. LK apparently offered GG to put River over Nicky but I was adamant that they use Joey instead and HH was in agreement that we get the Joey x Nicky breeding done. HH was the mediator and only one pup was born.
Many a days I wonder what I could've had if I got that dog and crossed him into the Junior stock I had.
A few guys told me though that Diamond Dan was a Bullyson stud over Nicky and not Shack, but I had no reason to doubt the ped.

 

The only department that the line was lacking in was the endurance/durability and stamina department. The reason I put Dancer (Mr Jones) over Amber was because I was looking primarily for game bitches to put my Yellow dogs over in the hope that I would have been able to add some stamina endurance and durability into the line and also to hopefully improve on those weak back ends that seemed to have been passed down from Swamper. As fate would have it Oliver was the only pup that got born out the litter and I didn't get any bitches out of it to work with. The owner of Dancer agreed to do a repeat mating then later decided that that wasn't going to happen anymore. I had made it clear to him that I was needing bitches to work with but then in typical South African fashion he decided to be a p#&s@. There were other breedings that I did with crossing similar stuff over my Yellow dogs that really put the endurance and stamina into the offspring and greatly improved and sorted that back end problems out. Oliver died in the pit going into a dog that was 20lbs (10kg) heavier than he...don't know why they did that:-(
