  1. Hey guys im new here and I got my first game bred Apbt from a kennel I found online. She is 15 weeks old and we have noticed something is wrong with her eye. It hard to explain, it seems like one eye is bigger than the other. You can see more white on one eye than the other. She is going to the vet Monday but I wanted to see if any of you have ever seen or heard of anything like this before. Other than the eye thing she is straight. I told the breeder I got her from about it and he thinks its any eye infection but I really don't believe that's what it is. Since im in Georgia and he is in new Mexico I doubt he cares anyway but any advice or help on this is greatly welcomed thankyou

my dogs eyes r the same exact way and in the same eye lol, mine aint never had a problem with it. lemmie knw what the vet says if u take em. it dont look bad, id let him go a bit longer if it aint bothering him. like i said mines the same way n no problems seeing. test his vision n reaction with a ball or something n see if he has trouble seeing it. remember to the dogs still young

If your from Ga You should be used to that seeing that kinda stuff, LOL. Your dog will be fine, lol Most people wouldnt even see that.I have seen alot of pups look like that they grew out of it. Thats not the only reason you are going to the vet is it?

    It's probably a birth defect ....

likewise. seen if before. nothing (imo) to worry about. most likely as the pup ages its eyes will "even-out" so to speak

The eyes are the same size. One looks bigger than the other because it has a pink third eyelid and the other eye has a brown third eyelid.

There is no infection and nothing wrong with the eyes (at least from what is visible in the pics).

  8. Thanks for all the advice guys. I talked to the breeder and sent him the pics he thinks its cherry eye but when I google cherry eye her eyes look nothing like the pics. The reason I am worried is because sometimes they tear up. Another every 2 to 3 days or so. I have been using an eye wash (like because the breeder insist its cherry eye or some kind of infection ) but so far no improvement.

  9. Also I have been massaging the eyes to try to get the eyelids to go back in but no luck.

  10. In the full body pic u can see her eyes are all pinkish red....

If you're not satisfied with her and to save yourself future vet bills, send her back to the breeder for a replacement. if he is a honest person he should not have any problem doing so.

LISTEN TO ME- it's not cherry eye, it's not infection- THEY ARE NORMAL EYES AND LIDS.

LEAVE THEM ALONE. Stop messing with them and putting things in them. They are going to look inflammed if you are constantly poking and rubbing at them.

They are normal, she just has one pigmented and one non- pigmented third eyelid...

Please listen to the expert opinion of Genevieve she really knows what she is talking about, there is nothing wrong with the pups eyes!

Ok, I am not grasping something here. I see a third eye lid that seems normal on the dogs right eye....person looking's left. Then the dog left eye seems to be missing its eye lid completely.

Please explain this better. I would like to understand what is going on here. Never noticed this before on any dogs, but cant say that I looked though. Seems it would stick out some and be noticed.

    Thank you in advance.

Here is pic depicting my question

$100 at the vet may not go a long way but it will answer your question.

I think what Genevive is saying is the right eye lid is there but it's lacking pigment the left eye lid has pigment.. I can see the right eye lid it's just the color of the lid is very pale almost white which makes it look like she doesn't have an eye lid but she does. I guess we will wait and see what she says.

ok, look pretend that her right eylide is the same colour as the left, then look at the eyes they r the same, its just diffrent pigment. tthe answer yr searching for has already been answered yet u keep asking? ill tell u what just send her my way and ill watch her for a decade or so to make sure everythings alright. dont worry ill send you picture of her progress with the eyes

  20. I took her to the vet a couple days ago. The answer is nothing is wrong the vet said she is normal but her eyes are very red. He said he thinks something got in her eyes during shipping so I got some eye was. He said one eye lid is pigmentef and one is not. So this will give the effect that you see more white on one one. She is fine and im very happy with her and glad she is healthy. I do apologize for not posting the answer sooner I thought no one was reading the post anymore. Thanks for to everyone that tired to really help and offer advice.

To sega and the other smart ass people thankyou for your post but your smartass remarks are not needed. I got a dog from a breeder, and that breeder insisted something was wrong so forgive me for asking if something is wrong. If I had done nothing you same people would have lined up to tell how im an idiot for not listening to the breeder. Or how another bulldog is suffering because of another dumbass. I don't understand why people on here feel the need to be negative. Especially when someone is really looking for advice from those who have come before him and have had more experience.
