  6. How old should they be if you do want to get them croped.

  7. young i always did mine b4 4months... the older the pup the more difficult it is for the ears 2 stand on their own

  8. lol ok then so people who have tru game-dogs are then morally incorrect if they use rape stands cuz they r causing their bitches to submit 2 it even when they dont want 2...

i cropped my dogs ears, and he wasnt missing a lick when i got him home from the vet...here he is at 7 months, camera shy like always..i can admit i cropped them for looks, i havnt read any medical reasons benifiting cropping, but i did my research for the best/most recomended/ most seen prof. of excellent work..there were cheap ones and expensive ones...my most recomended was not the most expensive..but it was up there....i think it was worth all $700ish spent...i love my capone..

  14. I think it strickly cosmetic because you got to look at it as people get nose jobs boob inplants and stuff like that to improve the look of ones self that the same as doing the ears but there are some down falls i think a friend told me that he did crop his dogs ear and now his dog can go swimming because the water get in her ears and she gets a infection. but i like both looks it all in how people want there dog to look like.

Well, but that's the thing: "People get nose jobs," etc. We decide. I'm sure if the dog had a choice, it would rather not have its' tail or ears cut off.

that dosen't make much sense. if that were true about dogs w/ croped ears not being able to go swimming, then how do great danes, dobermans, and dogs with naturally pricked ears go swimming? My dog has his ears croped and loves to swim! I can hardly keep him out of the water and he has never once had an ear infection. But, i also keep an eye on his ears and keep them clean, swimming or not.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEBODY TRIES TO CUT THE EARS THEMSELVES- ITS SICK AND UNNECCESARY! BUT IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO IT- THEY MUST BE DONE BY A LISCENCED AND REPUTABLE VET!

I've said it once and I'll say it again... people like to accessorize their dogs so they cut their ears. In my opinion it is cruelty. The animals don't have any benefit from having cropped ears. The process actually makes their ears more vulnerable to damage. If you had a yard accident would you rather have the other dog grab a big floppy ear or some other vital part? Removing their protection (the outer ear) is just making their ear more vulnerable. I've had the discussion with many real dogmen and I've not once run into some that disagrees. Cropping just makes their owners like the "look" more. If the dog was meant to be that way it would be born that way. MY $.02 so take it if you want... it is almost free.
