Is my dog a Blue Nose Pit/ Lab Mix? So confused.. help!

Meet Mia -- When I adopted her about 5 months ago, the shelter said thatb she's a purebred pit and I'm not sure they're correct. Is it just me or does she look more like a lab than a pit? Either way, I love her more than life itself. Would love to get a second opinion - thank you in advance!

 

She's a dog. Leave it at that and quit being confused. Do right by her and I'm sure she'll do the same for you.

 

For starters,you or the shelter has no idea,because neither were there at the breeding,and neither do we.So just figure her to be a mutt,be happy with her and take good care of her. Second,why would you call her a blue nose pit,nose looks black to me,lol Now the fur my have a blue/gray tint but the nose appears to be black.People get way to caught up in these nose colors like it's a breed,but it's not. Anyway,good luck with her and enjoy your dog.

 

Can't really add to what's been said a mongrel is a mongrel be happy with her and leave it at that peace.

 

Looks Pit to me, can't see any Labrador.

 

We don't know what it is, like the previous statements said, just enjoy your dog and don't worry about a second opinion, that's like a father that loves his kid but doesn't really know if its his! And remember if your adopting supposedly american pitbull terriers you never know what they are unless they come with papers which is unlikely, to many dogs are mixed up and called what their not!

 

It's genetically impossible for a blue dog to have a black nose since blue is a dilute of black. That being said it's a blue dog with a dark grey nose which people commonly refer to as blue nose which only identifies the color of the dogs nose it's not a bloodline and it's not a breed lol. I have no clue what breed the dog is and it benefits no one to assume or guess without knowing how the dog was bred it's a mutt and a cute one at that best of luck to you both.

I agree...theres some Pit or Am Staff there. But really who cares what she is. Love her...do right by her and she will do right by you as stated above.

 

Love doesn't know breeds, colors, genotype, nothing. Love is spirit. If you feel the dog has a good spirit and you love him/her that is all that matters!

When asked what kind, Say the dog is the kind you love or he the kind of dog that loves you. ETC just make up something fun and avoid the crap. You mention "PIT BULL" and its just a hassle.

 

whatever she is dont ever get tangled up in the people who claim theyre selling "blue nose" or "red nose" pits because 99% of the time they believe BS like that they're a certain line or breed of APBT and they're not, its just a coat colour
