which one do you prefer

  1. Do you guys prefer to buy a dog when he/she is 8 or 9 weeks of age or when he/she is 4 or 5 months of age and why?

I can't see why it would make a difference either way? I couldn't care less, but i'd probably go with an older pup because if they are from a reputable breeder they have been fully vaccinated and possibly already use to a chain.

But if I were to purchase a puppy, one of the LAST deciding factors would be if its 9 weeks or 5 months. I would look at the quality of pup, quality of seller, etc etc WAY before the age.

I prefer to get pups as soon as they are ready to leave mom and litter mates simply because I like to raise mine up my way and mold them from an early age on. That being said I have also gotten older dogs and pups closer to a year in age. It really depends on how you plan to keep them for house dogs it requires some extra work especially if you plan on crate training them and making them permanent house dogs. Not everyone wants to keep their hounds outside and some do both chain and keep them in doors. For me Regardless if the pup comes from a reputable breeder I always do my own vaccines and wormings even if the breeder does them I still redo them anyways because I am just paranoid like that lol.

either or, its still a guessing game at that age so id go with the 4-5 months, but most def personal preference, i acquired a 5 month old pup an a 2 yr old, an also factor in whom its coming from

I like to get my pups right out the mothers vag. But if I did get one from someone else I'd rather it was 8-16 weeks.

  9. LOL nothing like them right out of the vag pups

  10. Lol...."vag sack" smh... parent hood you gotta love it huh but anyway the reason I asked that was because when puppies are small its hard to tell how they build will be or if they are full blooded but my question was answered "just find a professional breeder" if you know what I mean...also at an older age they are already off the ground and an somewhat easier to take care of..jmo
