They do much more than that and have been doing it for a long long time. Seeds and genetic patents are just their latest scam against people, they have perfected exploitation and law bending and made it a science there science bad people bad news bad policies-hey goat did you like how Slowboma put an ex Monsanto head honcho as head of the FDA? now that is some evil shit there.
Truth is treason in the empire of lies.

I know that, don't forget a nice piece of legislation that keeps them in the clear if their frankenfood kills you or makes you sick. Deep pockets are a sickening thing. No different than Pfizer or those drug companies. They can kill folks and be allowed to set up a separate company to take the fall.

just think the monsanto flunky is head of the FDA with BO putting him there will be patenting cannabis seed next . if you a farmer and planting your own corn seeds and monsanta's seed crop next door pollenates your crop then it's monsanto seed crop not yours .

Yeah it's pretty bad, there was a good documentary about it a few years back or so. They send people to your house to intimidate you.

  7. PBS aired the documentary. Business as usual for these folks. Pick up R. Lewontin's It ain't necessarily so which covers GMOs. Cannabis should be banned.

chicken tell me why you think cannabis should be banned ?? it's a food source and can make plastic and energy and medicine and concrete and 2000 other things . the only plant on earth with so many uses .

thanks old goat, you would assume most of us would agree as it has much in common with our breed. And as an ex mj farmer and current activist I'm surprised people still feel this way. My genetics are my genetics fu** monsato there trying to patent "gods" work.

god gave the world a gift and it was the hemp and cannabis plant . it could help clean up the air and provide 2000 uses and the companies that will go under all they have to do is retool their plants to use hemp . and i think the hempcrete is the best thing for building houses and roads . this is 1 reason right here .Lab Testing Reveals EnviroTextiles Hemp Fabric Stops the Spread of Staph Bacteria | Cannabis Culture . our farmers are being pushed out by industrial farmers and we need to stand by the farmers in our country . remember this country is still ours all we have to do is take i back from big industries and law makers that only want them to be our food supply .

I know I always get back to this but...Rick Simpson..Jack Herrer nothing more to be said google those two names and there are more than enough real, legitimate reasons for its legalization and one can also see the hypocrisy and lies the government uses to keep it illegal, and it seems chickens on chains drink the kool aid to wash down all the blue pills..

  13. What would be the potential cost (social, economic etc..) of legalization? Most folks avoid the cost component when doing a cost/benefit analysis. With respect to farmers, there is no sympathy for folks who by sheer laziness and ignorance coupled with a lack of humility have put themselves, not to mention the planet, in a pickle.

^ Really? The only "social cost" would be to the morals of folks like you, and it would beneficial from an economic standpoint. The reasons are widely known if you care to look them up. The war on drugs isn't cheap, and that's just one number in the equation....

Farmers' "lack of humility...put the planet in a pickle"? Dude's trolling.

or maybe he's drunk haha . the economic part would be where we stop paying countries around the world to poison their country . stop spending billions a year to pull up plants . stopping the deaths of people over a damn route to bring it in . and what cost component . the 1 where the alcohol companies stop making their money haha . and you should have your ass worked hard by a farmer . they work sun up to past sun down how about you lazy . and the plant is the plant that could help the world in a lot of way unlike you . can you say bio degradable plastic or renewable fuel you can grow haha . come on now show us how smart you are . why should a farmer be sued for growing seeding from last years cop ?

  16. I was unaware that I took a moral stance on the issue. Please point out where I explicitly stated my moral opposition to Cannabis. I find that weak folks general find morals an inconvenience. But very few things warm my heart more than hearing "...it would (be) beneficial from an economic standpoint". Children, like employers, farmers, statesmen, aggregates of, usually say things of that nature.
" it would be more cost effective if I hire non-americans"
" it would be economically beneficial to accept special interest money"
Do you see where your sort of thinking has taken this country. The war on drugs is rather inexpensive compared to the potential cost of the legalization of drugs. What "war on drugs" are you referring to? The current one? a previous period or model? or potential wars?
Unfortunately, for your sake, caring to look something up is independent of having the capacity to understand the thing you looked up.

  17. How sad. Do you normally giggle, insult and avoid direct questions when spoken to? I was under the impression that I was speaking to an adult. My intentions was not to "show how smart" I am ( I am not very bright). Is that yours? My intentions was to have a respectful conversation and hopefully learn something along the way. Apparently we were raised differently----and there goes the problems of the world..........

I don't believe the cost/benefit would be any different than alcohol, which would make one ask the question, "Can we afford to continue prohibition on marijuana?" As far as laziness is concerned, humanity at large has been defined by our laziness, not work ethic, we just call it ingenuity.

  20. Well then, lets use alcohol as an example. What perspective would you like to use to represent cost? The healthcare field might talk about conditions/diseases caused by alcohol. Law enforcement would probably mention all the mess alcohol causes on the roads and in the homes. Legal system could point out the fact that they are stuck with the results of the previous statement. Tax payers and scientist most likely will quantify the economic burden of the whole enterprise. What about women and children?

Not to mention the wasted time and resources on lines of inquiry (research, etc..) that are bankrupt. Why is the market being driven by a particular subset?

That's funny but there are degrees of laziness. We can describe laziness in those terms or by the degree to which its expression affects its surroundings: Some folks sit on the couch while others pollute our air, water, land, food etc.... They are not the same. Do not trivialize that point.
