Introducing. . . Howie & Pixie

    Introducing. . . Howie & Pixie

    Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Michelle, from Tampa. I'm pretty new to bulldogs (Owned Howie about a year now), but not dogs in general.

    Just wanted to show off my dogs, both of which are rescues:

    Howie, he's a english bulldog(?)/APBT/mastiff(?) mix. We really don't know- he has that low-rider, BYB look. He was found after the hurricanes last year in pretty bad shape. He's de-barked and his crop looks like it was done with scissors. Even though he's stunted in body, he's got a lot of drive. He's about 17 inches tall and 56IBs:

    And here's Pixie. She's about 11 months old, and I got her after we lost our lab mix. Someone had bought her from a BYB, and could no longer keep her. The breeder wouldn't take her back, and they were going to take her to the shelter, which euths both puppies and pits on the spot. So I took her. She's a good size, around 40IBs.​

    your male could be purebred, just the squattier (sp?) type of "PitBull". Alot of BYB love the low/wide look.

    a lot of BYBs also love to mix in english bulldogs, mastiffs. . . and ocassionally hippos.
