Whats the Temp??

For extra measures a heavy floor matt can be hung over the doorway, I slice it up the middle so they can get in and out easy. I only hang it during really extreme weather like last year when we had many below zero days. When I rotate the straw I use the old straw on there immediate chain spot to some what keep them dry when the snow starts to melt. It can take a few days for snow to melt, making chain spot a little miserable. Its tuff managing a chain spot in the north east period.

 

I use 1/4" rolled rubber I get at tsc and do the same thing, slits in it. Also works well to cover the roof instead of shingling. Especially for those dogs that like to be on top of their dog houses ( in the warmer months of course) This storm caught me off gaurd. Didnt expect it to get so cold already and will be putting it up tomorrow. I check on them every 3 to 5 hours and put my hand in the second chamber and its pretty warm when they been in it. The doorway makes it real toasty though. I use vasoline on their pawpads about every other day this time of year too. Help preventing chapping and cracking. All in all though, your right, its a pain in the ass to deal with for 5 months of the year.

 

We thankfully missed the huge lake effect snow Buffalo got nailed with. I seen the video of the storm come across lake erie and it was crazy looking.

 

THERE PEOPLE STRANDED IN THERE CARS! Literally over night, thats crazy.

 

Not as cold here, rain came through so temps rose. We need the rain bad, and I live that crisp air smell once it's gone.

yea i called him we will see what happens... last time i called him it took 40 days to have the disposal replaced... so i'm not super confident on getting this resolved in a timely manner *shakes fist*

 

thanks homie, appreciate it. i'm hoping this issue is treated more urgently than something like a disposal. I keep the house between 65-70 anyways so nah i probably won't need it much. i'm just bitching to bitch...

Not sure about the housing laws in Tx. But in Ca HEAT is a necessity, your AC can go out but not your heat.

 

same here in fl. My ac broke this summer, landlord on vaca to a fuckin week for him to get that shit fixed. still lucky he fixed it tho

Yep, that's exactly how I found out. My AC took a dump and the landlord told me I was S.O.L , I ended up.paying a guy I knew under the table. Was the motor in the AC.

 

Suppose to be lows in the high 40's next few day here. Up to high 60's!!!!
