my 3month old pitbull pup is acting sketchy

i got it no dog parks!! ...lol

the only thing you need to have is patience .....

when he is 2 year's ....you make some room in your living room .......you ask your friend neigbour to come in with his dog ........then when your dog is stil sketchy. you need a other one ..

 

im kinda curious....to the op: how do you expect a pup that age to behave around other dogs?

 

well yes im worried i dont have a confident pit because i dont know his background he doesnt have papers. the guy i bought him from had the mom and dad but without paper work...and growing up my father had the real deal bulldogs with papers from game dog breeders so i know how the real ones act.. im new myself to raising pitbulls but i wanna start out with a good foundation. i hope that explains my situation

Well if want a foundation dog then this pup is not the one. You have no idea how it is bred, your best bet would be to raise it up and enjoy it, during this time learn all you can i go buy a dog from a good breeder. Yis Ole Man

Why would it make any difference if he grows up and is still not at ease with other dogs? The animal in question is a 'PET! I have a Colby dog here that's scared of my cat and is totally non aggressive towards other dogs, he too is a pet and I could care less that this is the way he is. Many of these uber aggressive dogs ain't s**t when it really counts!

The idea of breeding a male you no little about is what upsets folks,some on here have owned these dogs for 20 plus yrs and deeply care about the breed. In everyone city the pounds are filled with Pitbulls who were bred just cause. Instead of getting mad and throwing statements like that out there,sit back and listen sometimes the truth is hard to hear.I dont go on vacation because i have these hounds to raise them properly is a commitment most dont understand. Its alot of hard work and money to do it right. My xtra cash goes to the hounds 2hrs a day feeding ,cleaning,walking ect..100 degrees or 10 below im in yard. Take a step back and think is it wise to breed this male in the future with out knowing his back ground he could come a family of man biters. Yis Ole Man

 

i see what your saying bro i wouldnt have went off like that if these guys would have showed a lil respect n understood that im a novice in this.. and as far as what i want out of my dogs all i want is a athletic courageous dog that could do it all hog hunting,weight pulling, even showing thats all im looking for.. as far as papers or not know the background of my dog i get it. but i also have heard from some dogmen that in some cases they have had dogs with the best backgrounds n papers n a dog that they found or recieved as a gift with no papers have turned out to be a better dog in some cases..one bulldog man told me fuck the papers its all on how the bulldog turns out at 2years old then make my decision.

 

Those dogs where the exception not the rule. What im mean by papers is knowing how the dog is bred gand written ect..The pups young take your time raise him up then go for there. Only breed when you need you something, take the pup to some fun shows in your area read learn study peds talk to dogmen ect.. to be honest what those guys told you is what most real dogmen would tell you. I know how it is starting out its hard to find good dogs info ect.. i didnt have the internet coming i had to get out there shovel shit at some one else's yard and prove i was serious. Just raise your pup up right enjoy him and listen and learn. Best of Luck Ole Man
