i wasnt saying u said they wasnt full ..i just forgot to add a ?? mark ... to ask if that was what u was sayin.... i know what lines throw black and tans.. just didnt know about spikey...guess i do now... im no gene specialist nor do i care what color he has... if he thru purple im sure that would be a shocker and ppl would think there is no way.... but there is ALWAYS a way !! im simply one proud person braggin bout what i got

 

If you keep getting all this static about this ped. being valid you can just pay to have DNA proven. With a nice ped like that it may be worth it. Good luck!

 

O i aint worried about no "static" LOL..... and DNA is a great option and its good to have... but not necessary in my case

 

It's not about giving someone static about their pups, it is about true and correct peds, I would still like to know where the b&t gene comes in. I also have been advised that this male throws it with other females not carrying the gene? If that is true, then I personally would start questioning my peds, since it is a simple genetic fact that both must carry the gene. All DNA will prove is that those are the parents, it still won't really validate the studs ped or the color variant, since all the prior generations were not tested. It's just a question, what others breed and raise is not my issue, I know well where it comes from in my line and can prove it. The sad and simple fact is that people are now breeding just to get this color and that is why the question was even brought up.

P.S. I want to make it clear that I am not saying that you are breeding purely for color, I feel the need to ask the question everytime I see a ped that does not show the genotype for both dogs.

 

After much debate over this black and tan issue ..i went to the source himself.. a previous owner and close friend of another ..bla bla..... GR CH BEACH BOY BILLY'S SPIKEY (5XW) POR he himself had a very dominant black and tan gene.... has for GARNER's CECILIA well got that straight from the "MAN" himself she was a proven carrier of Black N Tan as she produced a few........ ok so thats cleared .. spikey has produced many black and tan pups when bred to bitches with this gene .. just because they aint peds online dont mean they aint out there... Izod HAS ONLY produced black and tans with 2 females and those are WRIGHT's MEDUSA and AGGIE if there are black and tan pups off IZOD x ?? ............ the person that owns them dogs is lieing cause he has ONLY been bred to 2 with the gene...

I aint questioning Izods peds i will question I also have been advised that this male throws it with other females not carrying the gene? <<<< ?? well i hope u told them they dont have real papers on the dog !!
Izod he will be 9 in January and he is still throwin damn fine dogs...aint been no questions arise so far... other than this "black n tan" debate or now "is his ped true" and the tipical he's not producing bla bla bullshi* LMFAO :rolleyes: ...

and to clear the color thing up real Quick i will NEVER ever breed for color... the black and tan are just another color to me another dog.... ( thanks for clearing that up b4 that was another issue )...the fact that this breeding happened AGAIN was the 1st litter had some great dogs and so there was a repeat...and IM positive there will be another repeat sometime down the road....

Was doing research on tri-color and spikey. Both of these dog are in a pup im getting soons pedigree, as well as BBB's Spikey. It is a brother x sister breeding(the male above is the sire of both parents of the litter im getting in on) I saw a litter of his off of his own daughter i saw 4 dogs all 4 were red tri, or BT & white. very nice looking dogs. i'm guessing there will be tri's in the litter upcoming from bro n sis as well ( and the sire is buckskin/black nose, Dam is red/rednose).

 

congrats,but ive raised a litter of 10 at the age of two weeks,stimulating,bottle feeding,while holding a 9 to 5.i think that will be something to brag about good luck wit that litter!!

 

lol, that was 8 years ago. sorry to bring up such an old thread.

 

yeah i was one of the stupid ones,that thought he knew it all,lol! at the time i had a lil eli gyp that came from some well known dogmen in my area, that was gave to me.so when the time was right i bred her to some more eli stuff and on a cold winter day she had 11 pups.so i had hay in the doghouse and heat lamps so the pups could keep warm,well at that time i was back n fourth to work only to check on them every morning n afternoon.so i notice that the gyp wasnt eating,by this time it has all ready been a week,i took her n pups to vet only to find out that my gyp had heartworms.so the vet put the pups on milk replacer n took the gyp in thinking that she could be saved.well long story short my gyp ended up dying,all because i didnt know what wormer was. so i manged to save 10 of them,by the help of the vet n around the clock attention.this was also 8yrs ago,it was my first breeding n i have not bred another since,but i have two young ones im excited about. btk's eightball and trap's beauty.thanks for listening to me ramble lol!!!
