Interesting thread. Shame noone mentioned F.G. Henry as he had nearly as bit a yard and sales as Colby for around 30-40 years. He had 48 brood bitches and many stud dogs in the very early 1900's before selling out his yard due to old age in 1916 iirc.

His Black Brandy dog sired many good dogs at the time and between himself and Colby they contributed hugely to the game Pit Bull Terrier in America.
