    LAW & ORDER
Abused Pit Bull Puppy On Road To Recovery
CRYSTAL SPRINGS - A Zephyrhills carpenter made a heart-wrenching discovery Monday when a severely abused puppy wandered up to him.

Gary Franckewich, 46, was working on a deck at 38320 Bay Ave. when he saw the 5-month-old pit bull mix. The puppy's jaw had been clamped down on her protruding tongue and secured shut with a rubber band around her snout, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report states.

The dog's tongue was infested with maggots.

Franckewich brought her to Crystal Springs Veterinary Clinic, where a veterinarian had to amputate 50 percent to 60 percent of the tongue.

The dog was severely dehydrated and slowly starving.

Now named Miracle, the puppy is recovering.

I read a great sci-fi book a long time ago about a society that would punish its criminals by putting the criminals through the same things that the criminals did to their victims. Now, if we could find the "person" that did that to the puppy and do the same to them.....Not such a bad idea.

If I could get my hands on the person who did that. . .

Terrible, it's disgusting what people will do. But I'm glad Miracle is on her way to a complete recovery!

One of our judges here did just that, this woman was slowly starving horse by feeding bread and water, and that is what he ordered her to recieve while in jail. I liked that. WTF would possess someone to put a rubber band around a dogs muzzle? two words, Public Hanging.

The ppl that have no regard for life don't need to be living. What will happen to the pup now Mia? Would live to have a follow up if you can find anything.
