    Can anyone share any info on him? How about how he produced and any note worthys off him. Doesn't look like he was bred much.

    King Arthur comes from a family of dogs that were kept private. He was bred in house back to the family to prepetuate and mantain the family.He beat the Assassin dog from wsk and both passed, so NO he wasnt bred alot. When referencing grch as producers its hard for a handful of reasons.1.they rarerly produce themseves 2.Stud careers usually start when the match carreer is over, and five keeps,wins and the proper time to heal takes the first part of thier life.3. Owner & Orgins. open at public stud and how many people are close enough to due the breeding.
    4.Quality of brood and 5.the quality of the people who raise the prospects right, big name chs bring big idiots...
    With that being said, Arthur was a speacial dog with all that it took to maintain a GREAT FAMILY of dogs.I LOVE THE SMARTS AND STRENGTH that come with those HANK crosses and look forward to using this family of dogs for an
    outcross to my HANK hounds...

    A long, long time friend of mine, who Elias knows as well, reffed for the dog back in the day. He said that at that stage of his dog days, King Arthur was one of the best he had seen. We don't play numbers games or keep rating charts in our circle, but a great dog is a great dog, and certainly, King Arthur was that.

    Buster had a good portion of those good ol' Cecil Ponds dogs behind him. I remembered that and the names Gar Baby and Booger stood out in my mind as well.

    Thanks TDK, from what I understood Wayne Sherwood was a legend as a competitor and true gentlemen...Not too many claimed wins over Mr.Sherwood, and if you won he was known to shake your hand give you a compliment and end it with I hope to see you again my friend...
    I like the Tombstone dogs R.Anderson was putting together, but those Sherwood crosses seemed special...

    I thought they were sisters to Jigaboo and your ol Hillary bitch but Im not sure, I rember Kiwi close in thier ped...

    I didn't know he had any that close to my Hillary bitch or Jigaboo. Jig was a 3hr dog and did it twice. Once in the desert heat. Quite a dog. I put the Miss Fox dog with BR and she produced him some winners incl a ch or two. I lost track after that and heard he was shot and killed. RIP But the ones up close to Hillary and Jig, I never got info that he had any of those. So, not sure, EP. I remember Percy in Ca. had a brother and CW had a chocolate bitch from the litter and I don't know about any others, I'm afraid.

    Loius Cyher I like that cross and Performance kennels bred some fine bulldogs, Bruiser put a spark in it...

    I just know Roper was game as hell, as was his son Hubcap. That was a fine little group of dogs up there in the NW. I remember when Roper passed. Sad day for our group of friends. I wanted to breed to Roper but I lived too many hours away and never got there to do so in time. Great group of guys up there, too, btw.
