Funny shit right here.TG dont need you to take up for him.He doesnt care what any of us think about him stackin money off of bulldogs.If this is success to you than more power to you and him.Most good dog men could care less about making money off their studs or puppies so they have a right to wonder or think what they want about anyone that does in my opinion.This is not necessarily hating.Most just say he is a peddler which is true.Peddler is not a derogatory term.It means someone who goes door to door selling their product.Most times the term when used in relation to game dogs is someone who advertises their pups to the public for sale.Meaning they sell these dogs to anyone who has the money.I have nothing against him or anyone else.We are all just trying to make it in this world.I would not be interested in being successful in these dogs if that meant trading places with TG or conducting myself in any similar fashion.I do respect his knowledge in some areas,and he does have some good (who knows how its really bred)blood.You were correct when you said alot of the old timers most of us respect were peddlers,but you have lost your mind if you think hes even in the discussion for best breeder of all time.TREEZ lol you should put all the threads together and anytime someone starts this shit at it to the pile.

 

Produce 10000 pups I guarantee some will be good.... You'll never get a true % rate because prob 30-50% prob go to pet owners that wanna talk about how pretty there ped looks. I don't think anyone is hating on the man, just stating obvious.

With that many pups going out he doesn't even need good percentages. All he needs is a few good ones every few years to keep it all rolling. The word of mouth about him varies so much that it's obviously not a factor. As long as he has a Kemo or a Ceasar on his yard to keep people talking the customers will be there.

I know I wouldn't mind a having pup from the guy....

 

Your right if making money is your goal that's all you need. Deep enough pockets to buy good dogs and breed 30 litters a year.... Something good gotta come of that! But some don't agree with this style of business and thus why some say the things they say

When anyone equates the smartest with the most successful at profiting from a particular product then this tells you how ignorant free-market society has made some individuals, and I mean actively ignorant not passively.

 

That's what I'm saying, Cajun. 30 litters, let's say 150 puppies, a year, and all he needs is maybe 1 or two to become known. A lot of people will take a chance based off of the good ones (they add up, too) and never give a thought about how all the other pups turned out.

Not all people, but a lot of people....

Another thought is that after all this time, even if the percentages aren't good, you'd still end up with a yard full of good brood stock (assuming you heard about and had access to the ones that worked out). After years and years of cranking them out you might get enough of a "collection" that the percentages start going up....? lol

 

T.G is a business/sales man. He advertises and sells his dogs to the (anyone) general public which is why most newbies have his dogs because he is easy to find and contact. If your new you dont have many options unless your in the KNOW. Not many dog men sell there dogs to the general public and majority of them is through word of mouth and a few private websites.

 

Yeah, Its funny though,how times change.back say 15-20 years ago the majority all these camps was peddling,studding there dog out left an right. So we just cant point the finger at good ole tg. Things start changin.,like ppl(snitchin)dealers. Drugs an dogs dont mix.s So its kinda hard fore the novice,cant get pluged in so,its no other resource for them

 

Its not intelligence that makes a good business person. you just need a decent understanding of supply and demand.

Thats probably why TG has pretty peds, people like them so thats what he supplies them.

I think he is doing a service helping the newby's get in as well. Not sure what kind of service but its definitely in that category.
