i certainly respect dogmen and those of the past. but i'm saying it is the only legal way. definitely not the best. no need to get upset. i personally think that with the legality issues today the gov't could issue a permit for matching dogs for a game test as long as there is a vet on the sidelines and the dog is resociolized with people. that could be a way to make it less foggy.

 

What you are not realizing is that a hog is not a game test for a dog, doesn't matter if it's legal, you just can't game test a dog against any animal that itself is not game. It makes as about as much sense as the whole "bait dog" myth

Just watched the episode and call me crazy but the way those dogs looked was horrible imo. If ur in the dog game breeding showing or anything. I really dont think that is a good way to do it. Cmon guys lets be real. Those poor dogs had barrels for dog houses and heavy log chains on small puppies. Maybe the show juiced the evidence up a little for tv. But no way they mad all that up. Those poor dogs looked bad not sure wat u guys were looking at.

 

yeah. i have no problem with them busting a guy. what i have a problem with are assumptions and lies. pfft, save the dogs. i'd bet a fortune they killed all of them. of course when it's Michael vick's dogs, we rehabilitate them.

No he didn't...What it comes down to is these dogs was his property and his buisness.ait doesn't matter if you agree with the way he cares for them , I myself saw things I didn't agree with.But at the end of the day its his call on how he takes care of his animals.You see where this is going ? Anybody that chains animals doesn't take care of thier animals.And that's BS, but this is what they want public to believe.

These dogs aren't for everyone and that is why everyone doesn't understand them. IF you truly love this breed than you most likely have more than one dog. With that being said there is a reason why we use chains on dogs. Its not to hurt or torture them but to keep them safe from one another. I have a year old male pup who bites threw any and everything except a chain. God forbid he pop or bite threw something and get out, then i might have a yard accident or an accident where he jumps a fence and grabs someones dog who isn't walking it on a leash. Then i will be blamed, my dog will be confiscated and i will be facing a charge for not "securely" keeping my dog. If he so much as bites another dog he will be considered dangerous and that is enough to have him euthanized... Im not looking for anyone to agree or argue with me because i WILL NOT let myself get caught into it but this is simply my opinion and observation with MY dogs nothing more.

Barrels make good dog houses and those chains are NOT heavy. My 10 feet chains weigh less than 10 pounds and 90% of that weight isn't on the dogs neck, it's laying on the ground. The sad thing is that these dogs are one of the healthiest breeds and live longer than everyone's spoiled couch potatoes. The dogs you think are in bad shape would run circles around the dogs you den worthy and anyone who thinks this man deserves to get busted doesn't belong on a game dog site. These are methods used to protect the breed and ourselves.
