Charlie, (Jeeps brother)

Anybody heard anything good on his decedents? He wasn't breed as much as Jeep but I know he was breed to some great gyps!

 

I asked Mr.Hargrove about him as he Harry h&C for I beleive his second,,, he said the man that owned him was a drifter and didnt breed the dog much.. Harry said he thought Supergnat ownwd him last and didnt offer him at public stud...
He said thier sister holly?(might be wrong on the name) was the best in the litter as he seen four of them go, but he thought charlie was a better dog than jeep...
Some say charlie quit,,, I am not sure and niether was Harry, he also regerts not breeding to charlie...

I remember Jim S. bringing Charlie by, when he came through Alvin! I could be wrong but I think he got breed to A couple good gyps, you'll never see in pedigrees! Just thought I'd throw that out there just to see if anything pops up. I tell yah he looked like A handmade bull dog!

 

I thought Bill Steep might have breed him to A very good Art gyp!

I missed seeing Angus to!! I could have once but had to travel, and had other irons in the fire! Some of the best!! I heard of A bad yard accident from him or maybe it was Zebo which it was horrible!!

 

The reason they replaced Angus was a yard accident but I thought it was a bitch dog Ch.Ruby that took Angus out of the match.

 

ruby was a daughter of Zebo that got Angus in a yard accident...

Harry thought Homer was the better dog than jeep...And Angus vs Homer or Angus vs charlie would have been more fitting,,, granite charlie had five or six pounds on that class and Harry felt it wouldhave been Anguss best compititon...what an ACE...
His storey is Homer was overw8 and ran behind a corvette in a horse pasture for almost an hour to shed the w8 and than took the jeep offroad for almost four mour hours,,, you do the math as thats almost five hours of excursion...
Hats off to Greenwood for breeding such a fine animal,,, and the match was sort of a grudge for the bullyson camp loosing to jimmy boots...
as far as the ACEY dog,,, Angus and Homer...
I think in the short amount of breedings they far outshined the infamous jeep...

I always wanted to know the story of Super Gnats Racehorse said to have won 7x , and to think Angus x Ruby was a Great breeding throwing Racehorse , Ch Butch and Guess 2x . ANybody know if there is a Super Gnat interview or more indepth write up on his Yard ?
