There are strict gun laws in my country. Nobody is allowed to own a gun. Few people got a "Waffenschein" that means they are allowed to OWN a gun, but not to use it. In most cases, even if you are attacked, you cant use your gun. If you do it anyway, you will go to jail. The best way to proctect yourself, your house and your familiy is a dog.

I am of your opinion. To Train A Pit Bull like a Police Dog makes no sense. A real Pit has this natural instict which Colby describes in his book. This natural instict is one of many unique traits which I love. Its not my intention to educate my dog the full "schutzhund". However there are some useful basics he need to kown. My dog should be healthy, very intelligent and game. He doesnt have to stay in a pit 3 hours, of course, but he should be in its original form as much as possible.

 

It was amazing. I met Tom Garner, but unfortunately there was no time to talk to him. He was judging serveral pups and dogs. There were such amazing AmStaffs, AmStaffs Bulldogs and beautiful Pit Bulls. Where I live absolutely nobody breeds such amazing dogs, at least as they look. The only thing that made me was: Everything was occured in a hall and alle the dogs barked all the time. Terefore it was really hard to talk to anybody. I hardly understood the man who sold treat mills, the other dog owner... But the beer cost just 2 Euro, the dogs were beautiful and the people where very nice.

 

well you made the effort and holland aint a million miles away from austria,just dont be hasty to get a dog from anyone bide your time.
theres a woman called marlene zwettler from austria she imported many dogs and alot of the blood down from her blood is still going strong theres lots of fanciers not far from you like in hungary nasty man , v.s.t kennels in hungary look marlene up on fb and the other kennels,but just keep researching and meeting people. good luck youll find what your after if u put the effort in

 

I love my pitbulls but believe me when I say,there are breeds with better natural protection instincts...Filas,Dobermans and Belgian Malinois make better protection dogs,and you dont have to worry about the DA

 

I use a GSD, not import but his sire was so he's not watered down US GSD.. Very protective & alert.. Bulldog could give a shit less about people ...lol..

 

It was the popularity of the GSD that was it's decline in the US....my first dog was a GSD

 

True as the rain.. These US GSD dont even look true to form hardly, saw some at a show that were "high dollar" & they looked like freakin Quasimodo

 

I got a good friend that has one straight from Germany and he is all buisness.Good stud dog to.

 

I can get something off him any time and it has crossed my mind.He saI'd he even tried him on a hog and he caught , said he couldn't break him off and won't do it again.He just wanted to see what he would do.

Wife screamed over a mouse the other day, he was in another room asleep, he came flying in like a bolt of lightening ready to strike , he was snapping the air & hitting the door, all he knew was she was freaking out & he was ready to handle the problem.. He's just a little over a year old big ol goon

I got a couple muts for gaurd dogs or what ever u want to call them lol.One of mine did send a guy to the hospital for some stitches.

 

Yep blind , he has everything memorized and as long as I dont move things around you would never know lol.He knows when somethin is there.

 

Something that helped was the word got out after he bit the guy and sent him to the hospital.Once a dog gets that rep won't nobody try him unless they crazy.

 

He is smart , hard to fool him , impossible to sneak up on.
