A friend of mine had 1 nut pup until he was around 13 months. Some how the nut fell in place. Not sure if his pup had what yours have. Good luck...

From what i've read it can happen later in some dogs. As a general rule though, if its not in place by 6 months then it likely will not drop. Anyhow, if i'm lucky it may still decend.

    Thanks Stinkrock.

I think nobody has the right to insult an innocent dog. People who insult animals are low life...

To Maritimer - if you really think about breeding I think it's a better idea to get a good, well bred adult female and someone who guides you in the right direction.
Cryptorchids can pass that gene and it's nothing you want to, except you can take the risk because your male turns out into a very superior dog.
But to be honest, this chances are like 1:1000.

But what's the point of going through all that, if in the end it ain't breed worthy (if that's his aim) anyway? Just get another, healthy one and start over before he is too much invested in lil one nut

Just because he may not be able to be used in a breeding program . He might be able to do other things this fine breed can do........JM2C

But just not too long ago he was asking why his dog was submissive even if the dog turned out great it don't mean shit to a dumbass that don't know shit he could be given gold and still turn in into shit

My guard dog is a cryptorchid also, and he is doing his job well! Though he will never breed. Anyway a good mate and I am glad, I have him. One ball or 2, if you don't breed a dog that doesn't matter at all!

Yes but you seem to have common sense . He does not . Case in point repeatedly letting lil one nut aka half sack get punked all around town while he's showing off his super cool dog . Let's not forget he's too stupid to think of any desease lil half sack might get to me the seems like things a dumb ass would do or at least be bright enough to not post it on a public forum

I haven't read other posts of him, so I can not judge about if he's stupid or if he can learn. From myself I know as beginner it is allowed to have stupid minds, as long as you don't make stupid actions and as long as you learn.

Dude you are soooooo butthurt over this. I think it's you who needs some tougher skin.

In your rage to cut me down you've even thrown grammar and proper spelling out the window.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a beginner. I don't try to hide that, and I'm sure it's made obvious by some of my posts. However you've gone overboard on how you think I'm raising my dog.

Did I ask about him being submissive? Yes, I did. I learned that you can't judge a dog based on how he acts as a pup. Did I expose him to other grown dogs? After he had all his vaccines, yes I did. I learned that it's best to keep him away from adult dogs until he's grown. And now I was curious about the possibility of ever breeding him seeing as how he had only one nut. I've learned to not think that far in advance.

Anyhow, I'm going to have questions. I don't have a great local source to learn from, so I've been coming to this board to try to learn. I've made my decision (probably not the best decision) to keep "half sac", so I want to do my best to see him reach his full potential. So far most of you guys have been a great source of information, aside from a few bad apples, who jump at the opportunity to put down and belittle those who don't know as much as them.

I'm not deterred however. I'll continue to follow this board and post questions as I come across them.

Thanks to all who've helped me so far.

If you think by calling your dog lil one nut your being be littled you need to re read the posts because your comprehension is really fucked up especially bringing other people in it an then playing victim lol . also some food for thought your not a help to the breed if u find even a slight want to breed a dog that's fucked up you say your a beginner so why even think breeding a dog or dogs u obviously wouldn't know what your looking at in the first place ..

I am not one to get into other folks business..but the man said he was green. he is on here asking questions and atleast he is honest. that is what this forum is for...he did pay the $$ for a "game dog". shitty he is a pisser and only has one nut but , he did come from TG.
I appreciate his post #30 . who knows if he plans on or will breed his pup, if he already had it in his mind that he is breeding him . he prolly wouldn't be asking the rest of the greenies on here about the fault on his pup. I could care less...if he was HA then I would have a different stand on things. I would rather my best dog have one nut than risk my kid getting her face bit off. there are certain things I breed around...one ball is not on the top of the list.
on another note....do you think one-balled labs wont get time in the water because they have cryptorchidism? both breeds are working dogs.

I agree but only played with him til he got his own nuts hurt then he started his own shit . second and only orgument would be a lab does not happen to be are breed it doesn't reflect on the owners who choose to own this breed I think someone who over looks this fault may over look others especially when saying he wishes to peddle which possibly may be passed to people who want a one nut for themselves

Everyone has to start sometime. At least he took him to the vet an did some research. That's a start.

We had a Doberman cryptorchid. He was a great dog, but sterile. His dad was monocryptorchid. My personal opinion is no boom-boom time for half-sac dogs.
