Jobs and what some you guys do for a living

I am a cable guy lol been working in the same data centers for the last 8 years cutting 0m4(0m3 originally) fiber. A family friend hooked me up with the job 1 semester into my 12th grade year after we had a tragedy in the family. I was never schools finest so against all advice I left. 2 years ago I started getting paid by the job and not by hour. I’m either hard at it or hardly doing shit. Couldn’t be happier.

 

It's not nearly as glamorous and life-saving as TV and the movies make it out to be. 95% of our calls are BS - dogs barking, kids won't go to school, my kid is sick and I think I need an ambulance at 3am instead of driving him to the doctor myself at a decent hour. It is rewarding when bad stuff happens but that, fortunately, is pretty rare.

 

I wish sometimes i could trade jobs with sombody else for a week just to try something else for a change

Stayed at home for 10 years and raised the kids, decided to go to nursing school and become a CRNA, then got an offer I couldn't refuse and went back to work for State Farm selling insurance. Now I'm being courted by a huge fortune 500 investment company to come on board and get my series 6 and 63 to become a financial planner/investor. Andddd I'm still school, so who the hell knows.

 

I married a union ironworker. Nothing like em. Lol

 

I bet you he really loves you raven. My wife is nurse and sometimes i just pretend so she can fuss over me.
