American Mastiff....perhaps that should be there name?
i was thinking Catchdog or Ranchdog.
but Mastiff means a large mutt basicly.
and not only that,but they do look like a old fasiond Mastiff from about two hundred years ago.check Buffons drawing of the Masiff from 1766 out..
And they are bigger then the Bulldog what became the APBT...and Mastiffs in England two hundred years ago were bred no diffrent..that is; a big Bull type mutt bred for its uses rather then anything eles.....

American Mastiff is most certanly what he is.

Both breeds are named slightly wrongish i think..
its not the American part in the name.as it makes no diffrence if they originated eles were.the American part is rightly so when you consider both breeds went extict in England over a hundred years ago.only to still survie this day because of America..America is well deserved its title in that respect.
but i think the APBT is not really a terrier and the AB is not really a Bulldog.
the APBT should be named American Bulldog and the AB should be named American Mastiff...maybe?

But who gives a fuck what i think.

On a different note does anyone know of a dog named PR Strangler Lewis? Apparently a Colby bred dog weighing 103! Cold lineage owned by Bob Tonn out of Dallas Texas. No wins, titles & doesn’t even mention gameness for that matter states purple ribbon winner.

I agree with most of this. The apbt can be more terrier than ppl wanna give em credit for. I got a lil gyp here that screams terrier. I owned her aunt and half brother. Out of the 3 only the youngest doesn’t dig. Both females under 35 chain weight. They all have the same dog in their ped as granddam. Guess what... she looked like a lil terrier and acted the same. She fought a snake and lost... maybe a rattler, I forget.

 

I don’t mean this to you in anyway, but I kinda don’t give a fuck... we are all kinda loose around here nowadays. It’s all just talk and I think most of the regulars now get that.
