Loved to see him rumble, great boxer. RIP.

 

Same family they are from the same town that I was born in same as marvin and a lot of boxers came out of brockton aka city of champs. I don't remember it but my dad took me to go meet marvin when I was very young.

 

I knew they were from same area,and somebody told me years ago they were related ,but i didnt know for sure,so thanks.

 

Thought I read somewhere an old timer dogman said Marvin Hagler knew Petronelli's Fox dog, I cant say for sure, but think someone else told me, Petronelli's was once dog people, maybe someone could verify that, or put it to bed.. Daily Mail today said Tommy Hearns wrote on social media Marvin went to get Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, suffered adverse reaction in hospital and taken straight to ICU... Fuck!

I got an old video somewhere of one of his earlier fights against bennie briscoe, there was no commentary and the footage really grainy but if you didn't know the fighters involved you would think Hagler was Briscoe, because hagler has hair and briscoe was the come forward fighter. He apparently adopted the shaven head look from bennie.

Im fine soze really,just a bit out of breath and a bit of a cough left,more concerned at moment that i cant taste alcohol lol..wouldnt want to get it again for sure though.

Ray Leonard was my favourite from that era but I loved Hagler,Hearns and Duran.
