Mr Hollingsworth was stubborn, set in his ways and he wouldn't allow a black bulldog in his program. He believes all black bulldogs are curs. No joke

It's amazing how folks want to change peds years later. If you can read a pedigree you would know how he was bred . I'm in the Carolinas , Bulldog country. I have raised more Bulldogs over the last 40 Years than you have probably ever seen. 100 plus. Lots of Hog hunting here in the North Edisto swamps less than a mile from my home. You talk about down here, Wtf. ...lol

He wasn't really into matching his dogs truthfully don't even think he had dogs more than 10 years. To sum up his time with dog is really the fella bought a few dogs from pat Patrick bred what he had and sold a lot of pups. When he did show a dog he lost. If it wasn't for tant, victor and the internet nobody would be talking about hollingsworth today.

I was told He never even looked at his dogs, Nothing. Years ago it was highly guarded blood. For some reason people said it was. Idk. The only Bulldogs I owned that had some in them ,Iron Mike led me to them right here on gamedog from Scratchn dog. http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=488346

This fella maybe had the luck we wish we will have ever. I dont know but this days i have seeing good ones from that familly but i have seeing them also losing in to other dogs also black dogs whic he call curs and losing is normal because you cant win everything so nothing bad about his familly this is why i said today if he had chance to make a talk again what would he say now about black dogs. Just thinking about it

Imo, I believe that certain people or just gifted when it comes to breeding Bulldogs. Maurice Carver was one of the best there ever has been. I know the list goes on and on , but The Silver Fox was one of not the best. Floyd B, Howard H. Earl Tuder, ECT. These old greats knew how to breed , Nowadays we have the science , geneticsb ECT. Are modern day breeders breeding better Bulldogs That's a matter of oppion. I would like to say that we are. However, if the owners of the bulldogs don't do there part, it will not be the breeder's fault. J. Crenshaw didn't breed Black Jack, He certainly bred a few great ones. Bert Sorrels bred a winning lineage. Tom Garner, too., Vinny, ect

he color abscission was a bit unusual, but Hollingsworth prodiced many, many champions, Grd Champions, 1 time, 2 time winners, ROM's and POR's: Choice, Dragon Lady, Dragon Man, Bull, Crash, Big Jim, Little John, Dianne, Psycho, May-Day (also Mayday) Haunch, Goldy, Bumper, Ice Day, Mickey, Lil John, of course Buck and Yellow, Dudley, Apache Jr, and these were just from Dolly. Those dogs in turn produced very good dogs. Anyone who says his dogs did not win or produce is out of their mind.

The above does not count dogs like Barracuda (9x) who was heavily influenced by Hollingsworth.

Barracuda had more Redboy Jocko influence as did Lukane. Haunches was more heavy on that Patrick blood behind Mayday as Haunch's dam was bred identical to Mayday's dam

True....but there was a significant Hollingsworth influence. IMO that Hollingsworth blood did really well when you cut it into something else. To say that the Hollingsworth dogs lost whenever tested is simply false, they are one of the better performing lines. Now of course his beliefs that only red nosed dogs were game is also false, but you can't discount his dogs.

Here is a yard that preserves his blood. Dogs are expensive and based on a lot of pricey frozen semen, but dogs are gorgeous. A lot of these dogs came from Aycart/Red Tide/Bog Apple up in NY, but are now down in Florida: home
