I'm pretty sure that's called li for liquid inoculation using spores I'm s grower myself LC is when you add your food liquid with a sample to keep the genetics since spores is like playing the lottery but I may try your ape out good luck in your journey

Yes, it is. The picture I'm showing though is that of our liguid culture. It's MSS taken to sterile honey water. That's what we use but any dextrose will work. We just use LC to keep the spores in volume. We typically inoculate with colonized grain not MSS or LC, though we can. Just using colonized grain has been working well for us so far. Our lab isn't complete yet so we haven't got to Agar just yet. Most seem to make their LC with their Agar samples which makes sense since it's the cleanest sample. We'll clean up the genetics once we get the lab fully completed. We only been in the new building 2 weeks.







For those that don't think this buisness can keep the lights on, that's our electrician getting paid to keep our lights on. Lmao. We kept blowing fuses while in the middle of sterilizing. Was starting to be a real pain in the ass. Problems fixed now. Ended up Being a little fridge we have our MSS in that kept blowing circuit breakers.

 

Took that yesterday. We repurposed the wood we had from the 2nd floor platform we built in the original building. Made a good counter. Not finished yet but almost.

 

Yall about to get that old man tripping on mushrooms. Good luck getting anything else fixed while leprechauns are chasing him around the building lmfao

Everyday I walk in to work I'm excited because everyday something new has grown bigger, started to pin or is ready to harvest. Slowly a continuous cycle is becoming routine.

The 4 species were going to focus on until we dial humidity, temp and FAE to perfection for each species. We'll add more species once we get efficient at supplying these 4 first.

You start training them dogs to hunt truffles then you really on to something lol

 

We need to get out and start finding morels. I just seen an add by a farm here that said wild Morels $100 a lb.
