I'll have to check him out haven't heard of him before. Any specific song preferences? Yeah the Jackson was a birthday gift at 16. Pops started teaching me at 10 on the esp cheap 150 guitar and Amp kit. Said if I stuck with it he'd get me a nice one later. It was a nice pretty clean white and has that aged off white look to it now that I really like. Pops had an old charvel similar to it that he loved and did a lot of searching till he found me the Jackson.

That they have. Mines held together with more zipties than I'd care to admit and ain't nothing pretty to look at. But the power to weight ratio sure beats the hell out of mommy/daddy bought v8s with intake and exhaust lol. Leaves them wondering how a $1500 car bout to fall apart just spanked that 50k. I still don't know the actual numbers never been on a dyno but me and lil bro beat the hell out of it on the street and got her dialed in alright.

My bad, I was typing this way too fast, it's George Lynch, from the group Dokken. Just look them up, he pretty much shreds anything he does.

The boosted four cylinders all and all own the streets from stop light to stop light.

My Pops drag raced all over everywhere in the 60's and early 70's. He truly believed that once past a four barrel carburetor it was no longer racing, it was more of who had the most money to spend (the old horsepower cost money so how fast do you want to go theory). Around here I grew up in the hot rod/heavy Chevy world where horsepower was built and tuned.

Things are expensive, but thinking sort of relative, horsepower is a lot cheaper these days. Back then I spent hours upon hours porting a set of cast iron heads and then gasket matching intake runners. Followed by pass after pass, and run after run checking plugs and changing jets with the outside temperature to squeeze a few extra horsepower.

Now a guy can buy that $1000 Honda and spend a few hundred dollars and handful of hours on the weekend installing a turbo and simply wax my ass.

I give that crowd their props and their respects.

I tried to tell my dad for a lot of years that it is all about who gets their first, not how they got there that matters.

He scoffed, in second place of course, but he scoffed the same. LOL

Took a lot of gas, my 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo gold colored sometime in '94, one of two imported here. Talking on-board computer and all and lightning fast and especially striking LOL

Let's not talk about a lot of gas.

The only thing my truck can't pass is a gas station.

It does not get miles to the gallon but more like gallons to the mile.

It was expensive to drive back then and it would cost an arm and a leg to drive that car these days. Gasoline prices are sky high here. It was a kick at the time to kick the gas pedal in the Turbo position.

Not a drag racer or care much for speed, but I require a 4WD drive to get to and from home. A rugged one that is reliable. I’ve found you can’t beat the Japanese vehicle when when it comes to this. Got a couple turbo diesel Land Cruisers- best money I ever spent.

You in Trinidad correct? Yall love Japanese vehicles. I sold my race car to a guy named Haroon " Jesse " Mohammed that moved to Florida and went back home and imported the car with him. He must have been rich because I sold it for big money.

Correct, I’m in Trini. Small world man. Trinidad is the economic powerhouse of the Caribbean, producing oil for over 100 years. No shortage of opportunities for those willing to get off their ass.
You may know of another Trini, Devi Maraj owner of Champion Porsche and Audi. A dealership in Pompano. Purchased and A4 from him years ago when I was in school up there. He had a legit race team for a while… not sure if it’s still
