B.E. Scott's is a short drive from me. They have been featured countless times on food network, youtube, discovery, etc... one thing we don't lack here is bbq lol. It'll make a snob out of you....

But I whole heartedly agree about the brisket.... they do some here and it's like chewing on a tire. I'm going to buy a pitboss this season and finally have decent brisket again

 

I git aa Pit Boss and love mine and I've done Brisket , ribs etc etc and they are really good for folks just starting off or don't have the time. The food is good but I prefer my stick burner ugly drum smoker for just a better smoke flavor. The Pit Boss is bad ass though man.

 

Texas got sausage and really only central Texas got good brisket. I been to Terry Black's, snows bbq, pecan lodge and slovacek's them the heavy hitters in Texas for bbq. The best beef ribs are at momma mustard pickles Louisville Kentucky.
However Texas doesn't know shit about pork and chicken. Tennessee hands down the king of that shit.

 

I've wanted one for a few years. I'm self taught with all my cooking. I taught myself trial and error fashion with charcoal and thought the midrange Lowes exclusive pitboss would suite my needs. Good to know it has your cosign because I've seen your bbq pics

 

Man I was on first shift this week if I knew u was beating down 40 I would've met u with a bbq plate or bought us dinner. There's a cookout right off 40 and they're the best fast food stoner spit ever. Hmu next time u breeze through if I'm on a good shift we'll kick it.

 

Odds are I probably going to Memphis in May bbq festival coming up. We can catch up and talk some dogs if you want to ride down.

I went with the Oklahoma Joe Bronco just because it's made like a freakin tank but I'll give the edge to the one in the link as far as function. I got a bunch of grills and smokers . I like variety lol.Pit Boss and a Ugly Drum is nice for a small family and group of friends.

 

This is no shit , I saw a guy show up at a real BBq comp about 10 yrs ago with 3 homemade 55 gallon ugly drum smokers and he wasted everyone.

Grabbed a few exotics. Platinum Huckleberry is 33% and I don't remember what the other strain was but it was 31%. Some black hash, Moonrocks and a few carts.

 

Drove a extra 100 miles for the best damn bbq on earth at Charlie vargo's rendezvous in Memphis.

Dam i double smoked a Ham for Easter and by far some of my best work .Flavor was there . I make my own bacon ,sausage and cured hams . I got a old school smoke house . I do my own that way I know what's in it

 

Shit you only find in south Florida Cubano and ropa vieja made in Dade.

 

Man the Ropa Vieja is the good stuff! Stayed in Dade for years, SW 52 Kendall. Better habla espanyol in them parts or it’s no dice in many joints…
