ok before anyone says it no i havent had a dog get with a mutt except a huskie we have. Now in i wanna know wat ppl think bout this, a dog that is purebred has papers gets pregnant by another breed and has the puppys, i believe that if this happens that the purebred isnt ruined so many ppl say that they r ruined by it and that makes no since to me its like saying that just because a blk guy and a white girl have a baby that if the same girl has a baby wit a white man the baby could be blk now the puppys on the other hand r ruined but the mother isnt wat do yall think about it

If a purebred dog gets with a mutt...you have mixed pups is all.

IMO the female is not ruined. As far as I know she doesn't retain any traits of the sire to pass along to her future offspring with another sire. As soon as they were born I'd grab myself a big paper bag, toss the pups in it, start the truck, and place bag over exhaust. Sounds cruel? I know. But I think its better than drowning etc... What else are you gonna do with them?? Pay for the food and vet until you find them a home? Then what? The people will give it away, it will run away, bite a kid(huskys are BITERS), and will more than likely end up dead anyway. Most people dont respect free dogs and I doubt anyone would buy one(husky/pit). Take this with a grain of salt. I have a negative attitude today.

We can only say "Huskies are biters" by the same mode of research used by those people who say that pits are biters. You can't be angry at the image given to your own breed and then turn around and use the same weak evidence to rag on another breed. Just wanted to point out the hipocracy.

I can see your point. But...If you see the actual bite stats, Huskys always rank high. The last ones I saw had Huskys in top 5, I think they were #1 one year. They are right up there with German Shepards, Dobermans, Jack Russels. etc.

I can honor you on calling me out but I wouldnt just label them as biters without some kind of facts backing it up. I do pretty much dislike any other breeds but an apbt so you are right there. LOL

  11. no it doesnt ruin the female one bit she will still be the same female she was before she mated with the diffrent breed of dog.just spay and neuter the whole litter and adopt them out to loving homes and go about your life.not really a big deal, just try not to breed your apbt with another breed of dog and try to keep her properly contained during her heat cycle.

Does this mean that huskies are biters though, or is there just alot of irresponsible husky owners???

Said very well....definately irresponsible owners, just goes to show all breeds have their crosses to bear!!!

Although it has been said I'll go ahead and repeat, cull the mutt puppies and you have nothing to worry about. Breedings don't leave a lasting genetic affect on a bitch. The puppies are from whatever she's bred with.

This is something that is taken from serious breeders and missunderstood by BYB's. There is nothing wrong with the bitch physically, it will in no way effect future breedings. However, the reputation of the bitch is shattered. Although I personally wouldn't care a lot of hardcore show dog breeders would shun a bitch who birthed mixed pups and the breeder as well. So I think the term "ruined" came from the pros as more of that dog's reputation is ruined, not that the dog can no longer produce great pups. The breeder would also be shunned so no one would want to buy a pup from a breeder who knowingly had a fluke litter.

Since we are myth-busting. Can a dog have puppies by more than one sire in one litter? If 2 or 3 dogs got to her, would she have diffrent pups for each sire? I've never tested this myself, Ive heard yes and no and dont know for sure.

  17. B

    B CH Dog

Yes, totally possible and done all the time by irresponsible breeds and responsible ones. Irresponsibles sell the dogs under whatever papers make them more money or just flat don't know who the father is. In show dogs they DNA the parents and pups to figure out which is the father. This accomplishes two breedings with a single breeding. 99% of people do NOT do this method. I am totally against dual sired registered and I think it is irresponsible, dna or not.

    Kind Regards,

    B

Now this is interesting too. I have seen some breeders plan dual sired litters and with the DNA testing. At first I thought it was a cheap, stupid thing to do, but then again, what's so wrong with it? I'm totally open on this because I really don't see what is wrong with this other than it is kind of unusual. So long as the pups are tested to determine parentage.

I had to argue with my friends mom about this. She kept telling me I was wrong and that "If a bitch gets bred by a mutt she is done in my eyes" I was like wtf. Dog's do NOT retain sperm and breeding a dog in NO way changes it's genetics. Who ever came up with that lie is a complete idiot. Unfortunately it is a common myth that BYBs think is true and that they pass off as the truth
