Al White busted!

Gamebred APBT are the least likely of all the "pit bull" breeds to attack a human being. Some dogs, back in that day that were fought, slept besides the handlers/owners children, and many were house "pets".

This guy hasn't been found guilty. They have just decided his dogs are too thin, though, looking at the video the dogs don't look thin to me. Also, many people whom have gamebred dogs might have a dog with scars, doesn't mean they allowed their dogs to fight, it could mean that there was a yard accident.

This is a witch hunt. Taking out alleged dog fighter because someone called you and told you they were possibly fighting dogs, gets us all in trouble. What if your neighbor has a problem with you and decides, "Hey, he has 'pit bulls' (they don't have to be gamebred, John Q. Public couldn't tell you the difference anyway). I'll call in a tip." You haven't done anything wrong, but guess what happened? The AC comes, takes your dogs. The media makes you look like a monster, and before you ever get to prove yourself innocent, they kill your dogs. So, even once you are found innocent, the public sees you as an "Evil" Dog fighter, and you are without a dog to your name.

 

i dont know what it is but dancing monkeys always seem to make me laugh. add a monkey to anything and it automatically becomes funny.

 

Teddyk what is your purpose on this forum? Most of of here have gamebred dogs and we share stories pictures and knowledge. What can you bring to the table?? Just wondering.

 

This should show everyone to keep your yard LOCKED DOWN and no visitors to your yard. Keep a very close Knit circle around you with only the people you trust. There is always going to be haters around you and want what you have and if they cant get it then they will do anything to make you mad. Keep smart people because were all being watched it dont matter if your a well know breeder that has 50+ dogs or just some guy down the street that has 2 dogs. The feds are taking all the big names down first and then start with the smaller kennels cant you see that. JUST PLEASE BE SMART WITH WHAT YOU DO.

 

People! Please stop playing into teddyk's game and wasting your text on them. teddyk is the type of person who would want a Springer Spaniel that suffers from Ornithophobia.

As for the bust, well if it's true that they did in fact have three dog pits on their property then there ain't much to be said because they were asking for this to happen at some point. A real shame to hear about the dogs though because we all know he ain't got the spotlight or bank account that Vick had so I doubt many rescue groups will be stampeding towards the cash, no no I mean towards saving these dogs like they were Vick's.

I am sceptical of what they call a "pit". It could be true but i won't make assumptions based on what police told are reporter:rolleyes: The only thing i saw mentioned about health was the dogs wre skinny but they seem to say that about everyones dogs.

 

More often than not, you'll find the "pits" they find on properties are small (much to small to be pits, and why have 3 in the first place?), normally brood/puppy pens. A 6'x6' wire mesh pen is now the standard size of fighting pits. LOL

 

exactly- 3 pits? what is this- a stop on the Warped Tour ?( music festival that has 3+ stages for those not in the know)

 

Its always a loss when a good breeder goes down, I have meet Al a couple of times, I hope the best for him and the dogs.

Authorities seized 22 suspected fighting dogs.
The Appalachian Circuit D.A.'s office yesterday raided Mountain Swamp Kennels in Blue Ridge, Ga., in a "textbook dogfighting case." The D.A. acted on intelligence provided by The HSUS and Norred & Associates.

Albert Glenn White, the apparent owner of the alleged dogfighting operation, was arrested and charged with approximately 22 counts of felony dogfighting.

Authorities found three dogfighting pits on the property and seized 22 dogs along with suspected dogfighting paraphernalia. Several dogs had scars consistent with dogfighting.

White is reportedly an influential figure in the underground dogfighting circuit and is the breeder of several pit bull bloodlines cherished by dogfighters.

"Today's raid on Mountain Swap Kennels was a textbook dogfighting case," said Laura Bevan, director of The HSUS's Southeast regional office. "District Attorney Joe Hendricks' investigators acted quickly against this suspected dogfighting operation. The raid shows that once law enforcement is given the necessary tools, they are ready and able to bring animal fighters to justice."

Multiple Groups and Agencies

Dr. Melinda Merck, forensic veterinarian and leader of American Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals' CSI Unit, assisted with the raid and evaluated the seized dogs for evidence of animal fighting. The Zell Miller Mountain Parkway Drug Task Force and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources also took part in the raid.

Information regarding Mountain Swamp Kennels was first provided to The HSUS via its tip line, 877-TIP-HSUS. The HSUS animal fighting tip line was established by Atlanta-based corporate security and investigations firm Norred & Associates in the wake of the Michael Vick case so that Georgia residents can easily report illegal animal fighting to authorities.

The HSUS offers up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in animal fighting. The HSUS's animal fighting reward program has been made possible thanks to a grant by the Holland M. Ware Charitable Foundation, which is also based in Atlanta.

Making It Happen

"Georgia's newly strengthened dogfighting law has made it possible to crack down on one of the nation's leading dogfighting figures," said Appalachian Circuit District Attorney Joe Hendricks. "I commend my office's lead investigator in this case, Kenny Crook, The Humane Society of the United States, the ASPCA, The Zell Miller Mountain Parkway Drug Task Force, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Georgia State Patrol for their hard work in making this raid happen."

It is a felony to own, possess, train, transport or sell a dog for the purpose of dogfighting in Georgia. Those involved in illegal dogfighting, as White is alleged, can receive one to five years in prison, a minimum fine of $5,000 or both. On May 16, Gov. Sonny Purdue signed legislation strengthening the state's dogfighting law.3

I would love to see the three dog fighting "pits" will they show them Hell no!
