    NY's new laws clamp down on dog fights

    New York's newest laws pave the way to require New York City children to start their education at 5 years old, name a bridge for Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, and prohibit the use "cat mills," ''breaking sticks" and "fighting pits" in animal fighting.

    The bills were passed by the Legislature this session and signed into law this week by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

    They include a ban on the manufacturing, sale and possession of some grisly items used in the illegal trade of fighting by dogs and other animals usually for gambling. The items include a rotating "cat mill" in which a cat is held just out of reach of a running dog.

    why your dog injured/killed a dog?
    because the law forbids me to carry a breaking stick wich a efficient method to separate dogs and i was not able to make him let go..

    retard laws... so dogfight is already illegal, did dogfights stoped? no
    so will they stop because cat mill, breaking sticks etc are outlawed?
    just a way to mess with peoples lifes, most of them that will be harrassed do not do illegal stuff..

    New York a bunch of liberal cry babies on gun control. what size Drink you can have and what your food can be Fried in New York and California hand in hand. IT does not surprise me one bit

    You just described New York,lol Like was mentioned they even want tot tell you what size drink to order. Banning break sticks will stop dogfighting about like banning Bic lighters will stop marijuana use.
