Did you do all the colour coding in the engine bay yourself? I love the red VC and hoses..... Makes me want my first car even more lol, just 21more months 'till I'm on the road

 

naw irish it's funny because i was in a rush to get the car done for that car show. i bought the car on a wed brand new & the show was on sat. i had to rush because i had both cars going. me & a few frinds stayed up 3 days putting them together. the red hose's were the only ones the shop had on hand. i wasn't even ready if you look close in the pic you will see i used a flashlight as lightening lol. the drag car wasn't even running look at the headers because they didn't even heat up & change collors lol. i had to push it into the show & the turbo wasn't even running it was only running off the wastegate & untuned.

 

So it was definitely a 'show' car that day lol.

Can I ask you guys what the price of gas is in the US? Over here we pay in or around €1.47 PER LITRE, not per gallon like you guys! I worked it out as aprox. $8 a gallon with the exchange rate!! I wish I lived in America so bad lol.

 

i run the car on C 116 witch is 116 octain a 55gal barrel. the price fluctuate so anywhere from 2-3k it just depends on the vender. it's not that effcent on 93 octain & that's why i use C116 now. 93 goes as high as 6 usd per gal during huracain season.

 

And what about insurance? How does that work in the us? I know it prob changes from state to state, but in general is it a big expense?

Over here for me at 17 (the legal age here) I'll be looking at €2000 for the year, and that's for 1.3 80bhp Toyota Starlet the insurance system here sucks, you get loaded up for the car and the age of driver so for some one starting off it's really expensive in New Zealand I think it's like $50 for every body no matter what there age or car, in Spain you just unsure the car and anyone can drive it.,. But here we get the worst of both worlds

 

for insurance if you don't own the car you need full coverage so it can get expensive. i only need lyability so it's about 120 usd each month with a group rate. i never told them about the modifications because they would drop me. but each state is different so rates will verry. i need to move to NZ lol

I cant even imagine 800 hp, our s5 rx7 is running something like high 400'shp and that thing is just a loose unit. We haven't put it down the strip yet, only just some sticky enough tyres to actually semi grip to the road LOL

Being a addict sucks. Went through a bunch of cars last few years and didn't modify any of them figured it was out of my system. Got the itch on a whim and picked up a new toy. Wylie sitting in a hotel waiting out the bad weather. Just something to hit deals gap with and waist money on fml

Absolutely they are great cars and easy to build. The evo is still bad ass. I sold the drag car to a fella that brought it back to Trinidad and making 1200 running 8's. I got in so much trouble with the car no joke every time I took it out was followed with blue lights

 

Just a gti I tested the R and it felt sluggish and heavy. I believe I will be doing rs3 motor and drivetrain swap for this to be a little different from everything else.
