i have many. i'll dig them out when i have time. she lived to be almost 15 years old. she was very smart and athletic, her prey drive was off the charts. she produced some good dogs, she was close to making ROM.

Things can get real stange in those two counties. A lot of the little towns up there dont like strangers movin in but i know there are some bulldogs up there. If i was going to relocate in CA i would find a little town in the valley where everyone is keepin gamefowl. Or buy a huge piece of property but that takes some $$$. Everyone i know keeps there dogs spread out though, no big yards

I recommend Joanie. Have a female from Doublecross/Manuka who is 11 1/2 and she is an excellent varmint dog - kills them quickly. Joanie was there when Bert did his breeding and continues the blood. By the way, black&tan pops up every so often in most lines.

this information was told me by a good friend

The black and tan color comes from a breeding made by Maurice Carver. Long ago, Maurice bred his Blondy bitch to Kinnards Black and Tan Buck. This is the true pedigree behind Sorrells Sister, Sorrells Ginger, Davis Chivo and Hands Gr. Ch. Candy, to name a few.
Their pedigree says Bullyson, but it is not true.... Maurice could sell Bullyson dogs easily so he changed pedigrees to suit the market.
This is why we get Black and Tan dogs today.

I'm calling bullshit and no I don't care what Joanie told you. Cause slot of Hall bred dogs have kinards black and tan buck. How come their not producing b&t's?

So I suppose the Colby dogs had coonhound in them, as well as Hammods and Wildside.

People say anything when they get bored I guess .. You should read this thread Cynthia posted some good info about the Tri- Color pattern and how it got into the APBT gene pools and it got in there long before Bert Sorrells started breeding his family of dogs.

What is with Tri color dogs ..If the Do looks like a Rottweiler how is it a Pit??

I understand where Crimson is comin from you look at any Sorrell ped and its not like the Kinards black and tan dog shows up 8 times in 10 generations..I dont know the answer unless it just shows up more in some lines...the other is maybe the breeder is breeding for color..hopefully thats not the case.

IMO.. it is just in some lines more then others . When i was in my teens some oldtimer called them corvino dogs with out knowing how they were breed but by the B&T ALONE ! Told him it was a cross and told me not to insult his intelligenc! Lol
