I'll chime in and say that I love my collars from Bulldog Supply Company. hell, I must love em cuz I sure do keep ordering them! I've had a padded one that's been through hell and back for the past 3 years. Still a great collar and I still use it. It's only issue is being a little stinky from all the swimming in the creek, lol

I prefer the stillwater 2inch wide leather with deerskin for one of mine
she is constantly pulling hard on a leash
the nylon collars wear down the hair on her throat, so much so she has no hair left there

the softer deerskin on the 2inch collar is the best imo

I ended up buying a 2" wide nylon collar from bulldogsupply.com and the bungee leash from apbtbook.com, went for a run last night and I must say that I am very pleased with my purchase. The bungee leash make running easy on my shoulder and my dog is not chocking her self anymore. Bungee leash is well made, dog seems to like it.
I received both the collar and leash within 3 days of my purchase. Both companies get an A+ with delivery and product.

I bought it from here :

    BDD Walking Running Harnesses

You can even get them foam padded so it pads the dog even more... The fit is custom so you have to measure your dog in order to get a perfect fit.

Built a bungee leash this past week. I only had 3/8" available. It works well however my pup is just to big and strong for 3/8 he stretches it to the end just leaning on it. LOL

I'll chase down some 1/2" or 5/8" Bungee when I get to the larger city by us that has the big chain hardware stores. See how that goes. The 3/8" one I made is getting gifted to my friend with a lil English Bulldog puppy.

I'm not sure if CDpits makes custom walking harnesses or not but her products are great, google her site and have a look.

not sure if it will help , but have a look into a well made greyhound/lurcher type collar for the dog to lay into when pulling.

Try adding (2) 3/8" pcs of bungee and find a sleeve to go over. The one that I got from APTBbooks is well built with 2 or 3 pcs inside a sleeve.
