Look locally for the grain and corn free valu pak. I pay about $42 after tax for 50lbs

I was looking into that one and apparently they don't have a store anywhere in California which is unfortunate. I'm going to see if any of the stores ship at all.

I can only find it at mom and pop feed stores no big name feed stores carry it here. I'll do some digging for you when I get off work

OK gives me an idea where to look.

I hated California. Best part was meeting Warren G on a dog yard lol

Have you checked in with your vet re the allergies? Not always food related. This business of grain vs grain-free I tend to think is a marketing scheme by the dog food industry juggernauts. Besides, minor allergic outbreaks can be sometimes managed with OTC meds(benedryl, zyrtec, generic), or the vet can administer a shot of cytopoint which can be effective for several months.

Regarding feed, anything in a bag is processed shite and inferior in comparison to whole foods. That said I have a bag of Purina Pro Plan Sport (chicken formula) here - it is relatively comparative to Victor Hi Pro in price and works well in terms of digestion and palatability with my dogs and pups. I think Purina also has a feed for allergy sensitive which may be worth a try. I also supplement and change feed plans periodically, but that is another topic.

I went to my vet a couple of days ago. She checked him out and said it could be a number of things. I'm switching food to see if it could be food related. Right now I am ruling out what it could possibly be. I checked for fleas and didn't see any. Could very well be seasonal. If I change the food a few times and nothing changes, I know it's most likely environmental. I'm going to also put him on Claritin or Benedryl to see if that helps.

  12. Don't believe to much you here about the kibble its not as bad ingredients as people say you might think im crazy but royal canin and pro plan are the best you can get proper vet nutritionists guide how its made raw is fantastic to but if you get it wrong can cause serious nutrition problems

  13. Be careful of grain free kibble its causing heart problems in dogs when the dogs switch back to a kibble with grains it can reverse the heart problem

Put it on raw. You won’t have any problems and it’s coat will shine

I'd advise to get knowledge and study Before just jumping into raw. You can do more harm than good in some cases.

I’ve had dogs for nearly 50 years and only ever fed raw

So then you should know just what can happen if you don't understand what one is doing and how not having knowledge can be a downfall. Just because one feed ground beef and eggs is by no means a good raw feed program.

Agreed. They need a lot more than that for a balanced raw diet
