I've heard from other people and breeders(not of blue pits)that most of the blue pits are Pit/Staff mix.And that their not bred for conformation etc.. but mainly for looks.Which in my opinion is wrong no dog should be bred just for there looks theres more to a dog then just looks that make them champions.Thats where the health issue comes in people dont care what the health of the dog is as long as it looks good.

I own a brindle female that came out of a blue female with Zebo/Jackhammer bloodlines and she will more than likeley throw a couple of blue pups so I'll just stay out of this one for now.

alot of people will tell you its because they are staffs or staff crosses......and it is more common in staffs cross dogs.....but skull ROM produced a blue dog or 2 which throws that whole theory out the window.....in gamedogs....its pretty rare....but it can happen...

I had this byb cur about 14 or so years ago, was 38-40 lbs.
It was the first one I had ever seen personally. Don't know how he's bred or anything like that but I still have yet to see a real am bully ( not saying i want to) Where I'm at, you can't throw a stone without hitting a APBT or a byb mutt that looks the part around here.

Only know of a handful or so blue in color but tried and true bulldogs, 99.999% of them are garbage, no offense to those who have em just telling it like I see it. ;)

Thats one of the few I've seen before. Everytime I see one of these threads I think of that dog.

I've always liked the color, since I seen my first wienahimer ( no idea how that's spelled).. its just I feel you got a better chance at winning Mega millions twice than to get a blue dog who's engine checks out.

I would love to have one though, could you imagine the look on the other corners face when they realized this ain't no blue turd and then get beat. Lol.

Pretty impressive...I guess that would answer the age old question....Since they are real it seems that around the world they are just rare in terms of blue colored game dogs. As someone said 99.9999% garbage with a few truly game bred blue dogs that in past long gone would be considered true game dogs.

Yep Soga and a few of her offspring were blue ... Blue game bred APBT's are not common the ones who look like they have APBT blood in them are usually staff crosses for example the TNT dogs. Either way the color is in the gene pools but game dog breeders do not selectively breed for color and some are prejudice of blue dogs so when they did show up they were culled. Most blue dogs I see are either Bullies or they are staff crosses. But here is another game bred blue .... Notice the parents of this dog are buckskin and black they had to be carriers of the blue gene for this dog to have been born blue as it's recessive. There is also some Bellon blood behind the dog below same family Mrs. Soga is off of.

Ed had some bluenosed dogs on his yard. Wsk blue possum was a double bred son of lucifer. Nigerino/werdo. Might be wrong but I think lil possum was the same way.
