Stop listening to people. I'm sure some of the people around you have no idea what a real pit looks like and listen to byb on info about pitbulls. I'm sure some of those same people believe pitbulls can get to 100lbs. And that a red nose is a bloodline not just a color.

 

haha, your a sikk guy man. I should just stop listening all together. They come down see him in person dont say anything bad just that he's a little short, Then go on facebook saying he's a rednose staff etc shit like that. But you really made me laugh after reading that, because you know its true. They seen too many DDB mixes now they cant recognise a gd dog when they see one sadly.

I would agree more with that argument then say he is too short to be a pit. Being that his ped has lots of unknown I guess you'll never know.

Nice Dog Kash, looking good. What kinda diet you got him on? Agree with your statement about the DDB mixes, theres loads of them over in Leeds too and its blinding peoples views on what a true pit should look like, too many BYB doing it for size and to have giant 'pits' that can take down a man. Theres very few good looking pits about anymore cos the gene pools are diluted. Thanks.

 

Thanks Cooks, To be honest he's on normal dry dog food, and i buy a pack of the special condition tin food (pack of 12). I then mix one tin with some dry food everyday, once a day. Nothing special just what I can afford atm. Yeah your right there is too many of them. I had no idea your from leeds thats not far from me at all. Yeah all there interested in is size, little do they know its not on the size of a dog. I my self bought my dog from a breeder down south in the city of leicster which is one of the reasons there are not many around my area looking like him, leading to people thinking he's not a pitt as they have not seen one in person. Kash, I feed my dogs dried greyhound food (Gain and Beta brands, good quality and high in protein) and buy some frozen raw chicken and tripe, mix the two with alittle brown rice (twice a week) and sometimes puree some veg. Doesn't cost alot mate and keeps them trim but in really good condition, and they only get 45 mins-1 hour proper exercise per day. There is alot of nice dogs down Leicester way and Birmingham, I have seen with my own eyes, they imported quite alot of the Farmer Boys stuff in and by the looks are trying to keep it tight by not breeding into other breeds, but thats not definate, others have way more knowledge on this than me. Yeah mate, you're not far from me, and thanks for the comments about my dogs, they are in much better condition now than in the photos, will update them for you to check out. You ever studded Busta out?

Heyy funny you should say that not so long ago someone was telling me about this greyhound dried food. Im going to take a look next time i go down to the shop. I tried feeding him veg but he wasnt having any of it.. dont get me wrong he will get the odd left overs in meat, chicken, egg so on.. Thanks for sharing some advice. And yeah from what ive heard birmingham specially .. there suppose to be a lot of good things them ways.. Yeah you really should. Love to see the condition of them now for the piece of mind even. So far no mate to be honest, i been offered a few times i aint going to lie to ya, but i chose not to for some reason. I should be breeding him soon though. Thanks

 

Don't breed your dog. Ask yourself why you would want to breed him. What can he do to improve the breed? Also since your peds have unknown and don't know what's in his blood how would you know what you are producing. My suggestion would be to enjoy your dog but don't breed him. Find out what breeding is about and if your interested still interested, spend your money on one or two quality game bred dogs.

 

Kash, I get all my dog food from internet based shops (berrieswood foods), much cheaper. I've only been going with the greyhound food about 8 weeks on recommendation from a friend and it looks to be doing some good, the muscle tone and definition is really improved and plenty of energy, you need to work them to run the ebergy out of them otherwise they do get restless but all in all, i'm very pleased. Ands its cheaper (No VAT) than your main brands and equally as good. Plus, get to the butchers row in the markets and get as many off cuts, carcasses, off cuts etc, all good stuff and doesn't cost a penny. Thanks
