Yeah but they need to communicate better.Listen I don't mine paying for something if it works. But the sellers have to be available to buy the product. When that happens I usaually back away then.Just an observation on dealing with customers.Because if this stuff works as good as u say I know a lot of people that would be interested, but not if they get the runaround.

This is a fantastic post. I am actually dealing with this right now, with my rottie. Ever since our move to PA, his (and ours) allergies have been out of control, and the ear infections are the worst. We've been to to multiple vets over the past couple years, trying to get a handle on it, but to no avail. We just got him into a new vet a week ago and it seems they may be onto something this time with his treatments. However, they have him on prednisone twice daily, and I think that is too much. It causes him to intake a crazy amount of water, which in turn has him urinating non-stop. To the point he can't even hold it, he will start squirting as he heads to the door. So that causes some worry as to what this may be doing to his organs. Not sure that it is hurting him at all, just something I am pondering, as I look deeper into the dangers of prolonged prednisone use.

Got to WalMart, Walgreens, etc. etc. Get a 12 oz bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol, a bottle of Boric Acid and a bottle of Genetian Violet.

Pour out a couple ounces of in your hands and rub it in (just saved a hundred people inclusing yourself from getting the flu/covid, etc..etc..). Add two tablespoons of Boric Acid to the alcohol. Add 12-14 drops of Genetian Violet. The solution will be a deep purple and will stain like none other. Use gloves and make the application outside in the middle of the yard away from your cars and wear old clothes (the lessons a not so smart guy like me has to learn the hard way). Use a syringe and shoot 3-5 cc's in the ear. The dog will shake and purple splatter everything around him, including you. Repeat in the other ear. Then crate or pen til it dries.

The alcohol will serve as a carrier to the inner part of the ear. It will quickly evaporate taking some of the ear moisture with it. The Boric Acid will lower the Ph in the area. Most of the time ear issues are more fungal than bacterial and bacterial type medicines pretty much just cost money. They do not do an awful lot. The low Ph will kill the fungal infection/spread which allows the body's immune system to catch up and win out. The Genetian Violet will serve as a topical.

It works to treat an actual ear infection and it also serves as a great monthly preventative. It is also a great foot cleaner/preventative for both dogs and horses as they tend to keep moisture and dirt in those crevices.

It will also serve a great topical for skin abrasions as well.

The only draw back is that it stains and can turn a room into a purple splattered murder scene. (don't ask, I know). If you have new white Toyota Camry don't do it near there either (again, don't ask, just trust I know).

    Good luck.

Is the violet necessary? Seems it just adds color so if you left it out of the solution wouldnt it be pretty much clear? no?

Nevermind I see where you said it's a topical. It's early I can't read yet. Lol.

I would think it would work the same just without the benefits of the Genetian Violet as the topical.

Never thought much about having a bottle with for infections and one without for monthly preventatives/ear cleaning.

Some old crazy ass dog woman who lived near here turned me onto it many years ago. She must have forty of every kind of dog and mixed breed dogs there were in existence. She would open the front door and it looked like the old Gravy Train commercial on TV. The dogs just kept coming. She had some pure bred Brazilian Mastiffs/Fila Braisleiros but the rescue work had consumed both her and her house.

With that, she knew how to squeeze dollars to take care of dogs.
