I wasnt there so I cant say. so I guess IMgonna go with what I herd from the mouth of the guys I respect the most. becouse thats the best answer there is.any guy ever to more than half a dozen shows and has 5 boys that are fanciers has had this happen. fri.nite ya go to a show 2 weeks later ya get a call from your boy hey man you here about that Poochie x smoochie show,then percede to tell you the version he herd (wich you know is b.s. becouse YOU WERE THERE)well times that 2 weeks by 30 years then weight the bull sh-t most common thing Iv heard about the match was both dogs were great on that nite!!!

 

How many dogs are truly 100% after multiple hard fought matches. Maybe Homer wasn't at his best or maybe it was an excuse. Maybe he would've beaten Jeep if all of the factors went his way or maybe Jeep would have just beat him again. Both great dogs but you can only beat what was put out in front of you. Hypotheticals and wishful thinking are hard to hit.

Look Im not trying to twist anyone panties here just trying to tell you what I saw and how men can F**k up a dog and in my opinion thats what happened to homer . i saw many a good dog that was ruined or lost because of the fool who owned him I made that mistake one or twice myself but I learned from it there are some I regret to this day I was 15 when i matched my first dog in 1977. My father and grandfather matched dogs their whole life's Hell I even married a famous dog-mans daughter I own no dogs any more . And yes ricky jones was the same asshole the night of buck sandman match as he always was . Look I saw were some people wrote good things about ricky quite frankly he was a drug dealer and a rat I dont give a fuck how good his dogs were he helped ruin the sport with the drugs dont forget that .

look mike didn't ruin this sport ! He is just a famous person who got caught . It was us old-timers who ruined the sport when we started to sell dogs to the drug dealers for the money it was all over . there was a time you couldn't pry a dog from a dog mans hands till you cleaned up dog s**t for a long time. The punks on the street hard to blame them too it still goes back to us older dog men . 30 or more years ago you would be on the street working a dog in keep and 95% of people didn't know what king of dog it was. Only dog men had them we sold the to the average person and than a little later the drug dealers . Put it this way there was a time I paid $ 250 dollars for a son of woods snotty. The most I ever payed for a pup was $500 the was a pup from zebo/ honeybunch . You are very welcome victor22 I just hope that what I have to tell about what i did and saw many years ago is something you guys can learn from . I have been out of the dogs since 1998 I have only one game breed dog now and he is nothing but a couch potato . Ive went into the likes of STP, RC and the so-so boys, Havana boys , supernat , the penny brothers , fat bill , Ozzie , rebel kennels, the uptown boys , cpt America Yankee boys , boys just to name a few won more than i lost , I was a third generation dog man , And was also lucky to marry the the daughter of a true legend of the dog game . Just a little about me and my history in the dogs so you know Im not full of shit .

 

I think your right when it comes to not putting the onus completely on vick, as there where many before him, some who did it better some who did it worse. However his celebrity is what gave them to publicity and exposure to garner the support of the masses to start taking down peoples yards for little or no reason. Without the support there would be no funding without the funding, they wouldn't have endless resources to spend chasing dogmen down. It's like crack, it was fine when it was in the ghetto and out of the limelight but once white middle and upper class started using it, it was an epidemic and had to be stopped... JMO
