i think that anyone who puts any blame on vick for ruining the game spends too much time on here or beleiving others bullshit. the game was ruined years before the vick thing went down. dont know how you could even make the match. load of crap.

Four hour fight makes them very game dogs. Very good dogs don't go very long before they kill or cur out an opponent.

 

depending on what kinda dog there opponent is. Both dogs had proven themselves against other dogs, not just being game but also fast... when facing an equal opponent the quality has to be measured in game...

anyways, these are game dogs! there quality is there gameness

 

that depends on the competition. Some dogs are to good to be dominated...

 

It was one of the greatest matches ever so I guess it's possible that they were both that good but it seems like four hours is a long time if either of them really had much of a mouth. Not saying it ain't possible for both to be able to keep out of trouble that long but definitely rare.

 

i just herd this but dont know lol jeep quit at 3 hours and 45 mins and homer had both front legs broken and homer died at 3 hours and 45 mins Dead Game :cool:

 

jeep never quit dont know why this thought is even entertained! no one there though jeep quit or was a cur and both dogs earned there spot in history that night.

This isn't a realistic statement. It often times depends on the opponent. It ain't like Homer needed four hours for all of them.

 

Good post but still doesn't take away what jeep dogs are doing especially when crossed with some redboy.

 

This whole debate baffles me. If I had the option of feeding one or the other it would be a coin toss. Anyone who points to jeeps production record as the tiebreaker is wrong. You have to remember homer went out dg and did not have the chance to produce what jeep did. If homer had survived he may have even out produced jeep. We will never know. Long story short two game dogs and a match for the books. If you have to talk down one to boost up the other you are cheapening ones achievment.
