They are a bit older now, but just thought I would show you these pics. These are the cutes pups (at this age, 1 month old) I ever bred :) In fact, they don't even look like pitbulls to me, they kind of look like bullmastiffs or something similar. Anyway, what do you think?

How about you guys show the board the cutes pups you ever owned. It would be a good topic starter ;)

They are adorable...I find that most pups don't really start looking like their intended breed till a few weeks older...

Hey Steel, did I make a booboo describing the color? What color would you call those pups? They are definitely brindle. Now, the brindle markings are black, but the color of the coat, underneath the black brindle is reddish, kind of a dark buckskin. How would you describe them?

Not at all bro. I wasn't thinking you were being sarcastic or anything like that. Your comment was well taken. Reason why I ask if you had a different take on the color.

    Aw, adorable little squishies! hehe

I'd call the color fawn brindle for the first one and the second one might be red brindle but looks more of dark fawn brindle to me.

I see that a lot in this breed. People completely forget about the color fawn and insist on calling the dog buckskin or red instead.
Mayday, for instance, in pictures often looks red and Southern Kennels' website has him labeled buckskin but I'd call him fawn. Especially looking at this picture and this one too. Same with Barracuda.

JMO. But I always think of it like buckskin is a pale yellow, red is obvious and anything in between that is fawn.

I call that red brindle also Gato.

I saw that ped a few months ago and thought it looked like it would be good.

I'd call it red brindle too. What ppl forget is that the base color comes first. If the dog has a red base coat, then it is a red brindle. It doesn't matter if the stripes are red, black, or chocolate, if you have a red base coat the dog is still a red brindle.

Thanks for all the positive comments ladys and gents.

I guess I would just leave it as red/brindle. The base color is red. I will take a current photo and post it later this week. :)
