I just own a few dogs. I'm not a dogman. That's a title I save for much better men than myself.

Nah I've have the pleasure of knowing some dogmen and being around even more. I have always looked at that title as an earned one given to you by your peers. I don't consider myself one. I'm just an over opinionated asshole who was lucky enough to meet some good ppl who were willing to give a hand or advice.

I own a handful of shit eaters because it makes me happy and gives me something to do besides work and drink myself to death. Nothing more or less. I appreciate it though.

 

I read everything that pretty much every knowledgeable person writes. I have spent probably close to 100 hours reading everything on this forum. Read the Faron book 5 times over and the Stratton books...eveerything I can get my hands on.

 

I probably would have picked up something from AGK, but he only had adult dogs.

 

I hate pups.... 8 months to a year is about buying age for me lol.

 

The housebreaking is tough, but quick. What I do is I crate the dog (an 8 week old pup) and hand carry her her outside every 2-3 hours around the clock. I use an expandable crate so she does not go inside. It is a tough 2 days, I make sure I have no work to do or responsibilities for those days, but in 48 hours my pup is already housebroken. We had one accident a couple hours after I got her home and none since .

She is pretty much house trained and did 6 hours straight in her crate last night. You just have to time her food and water. My last dog shit in the house only once in 10 years.

 

don’t get me wrong. You have your own reason to buy a pup. I’ve done too. But if I have chance and the right circumstances for a older dog which shows more good signs than a puppy can do I would rather buy that older one. Puppy is just a lottery and it take’s more time and costs and at the end he might dissapoint you but I understeand your situation. About charging money. I don’t mind to pay for a puppy that I want but I wouldn’t like that and probably I wouldn’t also not buy the pup if he came with money talk. If we are friend he don’t talk money but I am a good friend sure I would give him a money I am willing to support my frends but if they start about money I change my mind I am

I had a ban dog who would sit, down, and stay in a front yard next to a busy road while you went inside cooked dinner then watched a movie. He wouldn't flinch until you recalled him.

Training isn't my issue lol. I just hate them. They're small, annoying, and basically useless lmao. Not too many real bulldog folks I know like pups.

Don't forget, they poop and pee at the worst times and require CONSTANT supervision. I was on the computer last night and my 8 week old little bitch bit near clear through my toe

One plus...my wife and son just love her to death. They don't know I am just setting them up to get another.

 

Luckily most basic white bitches(they're who I attract lol) love them. So I shove all puppy responsibility off on them while I take care of the dogs lol

Oh the irony...my pup is adorable, but testing my patience. My wife on the other hand just adores her.
