DTA's/Mims Charlie won 4 times and had zero interest until after he was 26-28 months old. Schooled out and shown around 3.

It happens. But the bad part for every success story where someone waited there is fifty just like that where the dog got knocked in the head due to the owner's impatience.

It good makes since. On the age of the Bulldog , I have seen over the years that some Bulldog's dont Turn on until 3 or even 4 years old. I'm just a local country boy who has never been on a professional level. My hounds have showed me as young as 7-9 months hot as a bottle rocket. I believe in patients, proper bonding, schooling ect. I like to think that 2 plus years old in his or her invirerment should know exactly what to do. JMO. I have been told of some of the "All Time Greatest" not really turning on until 4 years old. If a 2-3 year old is brought out for a Hunt, They should be like a Rocket goin to Take care of business.

I think I would breed to a bitch with high ability that wouldn't scratch but she would have to be taken to a male thats game everything thing isn't so cut and dry if that female is coming from a good family of dogs she just may not be the best one lucky shes a female she will give a whole litter to look through lol

It all depends on your opportunities
! Do you have time, money, place and the information about his ancestors why not! You can give it a try. It depends on many factors. While culling other dog you can give a try to a other dog. Just saying you must look each dog different. Situation details.

Exactly, years ago i have seeing dogs coming and go in different hands just because off the impatience, Some off them are turned in great dogs and Some off them stayed shit, like i always say it depend on many factor , do you got a place money time and do you know this dogs his familly , do you like them a lot, do you give them a good place in your heart and mind you can give it a try , You can wait that log time you want to wait. But dont you have this all i mention but you got no time no money no place and all other things i mentioned? Make a choice between culling or giving to a fella who can do it what you would like to have do if you had it all
