When I was much younger, my dad brought me to a boxing competition. These were local fights, but I was so impressed that I decided to watch boxing on TV that evening. I don’t remember who fought, but it was professional boxing for a champion title. And it seemed to me such a boring spectacle in comparison with what I saw at those competitions. Those guys beat each other like crazy, but the Championship looked very boring. Over time, I began to understand the difference between a fight and boxing. (Or I think I understand, I hope I understand lol And now I know that those two "monsters" probably would not even touch those professionals, not to mention the fact that they beat them. So with these dogs ... You look at the dogs it seems to you that before you are "monsters" ... Or you watch the two dogs and they look so boring. The art is to see and understand the difference between the fight in the local bar and at professional league

In boxing sometimes the defense is so good it gets boring and sometimes the mutual respect can make what should be a great fight actually boring. Take Floyd Mayweather. I believe he is the greatest boxer of all time. I do not think there is anyone remotely close to him. Period. The flip side if I am picking the greatest fighters of all time he will be hard pressed to crack the top 10. In that regard I would not give two squirts of piss to watch one of his fights. Boring.

If I leave home with one I, of course, want to leave home with a Mayweather dog. Get in and get out with a W as quick as I can.

The difference to me is that people are so much more predictable and can be prepared for than dogs. Seldom has one seen the other prior to the night of the show and there is certainly not game film readily available to study and prepare. And one can't prepare his charge with schooling (sparring) prior to each show to prepare for said styles.

I can see the analogy and the comparison but for me I try not to establish leagues or levels or even acknowledge the proverbial fast lane.

    Another good topic.,

Imo the best fights are right at home in the gym. The ones where you can really see what they are made of without all the BS.
