Here's a one sheet hose that I added an overhang and insulated. I covered the inside with luan and put aluminum angle on the entrance and sides. It still needs it were you can see Scream chewed on it. lol

I'm planning on building another doghouse within the next couple of months. It will be like the two sheet house but on this one I'm gonna make the entrance side bigger and leave the front open. So it will be like a house with a covered porch. lol On sunny days in the winter the dogs will be able to lay there and catch the sun in a dry spot. I'm hoping in the summer I can turn the house from facing south to facing east/south- east and it will give them a shaded spot. I'll post pics when it happens.

Its been 3 years on the metal roof and so far so good. The roof is were my dogs lay a big part of the time sunning thierselves. They think wood is a treat so it has to be covered and then some will try the metal. It lasts alot longer though. lol

Question for all you folks who put your dog houses up on legs/stilts: Do your dogs ever chew off the legs, or go under the house and wrap their chains around the legs?
IMO, legs on a dog house are a VERY bad idea.

Man.... I gotta find someone in my area with some tools to make me a couple wicked dog houses. I wonder how they'd hold up to a really rainy climate. I've just stuck to the plastic ones for fear wood would just turn to mush but they pretty well suck so I wind up crating them inside when the weather is crappy. :/
