Bloodlines: You know there is always some one that is asking me about what bloodline is the best. For those just getting dogs this is what I suggest. Get all the information that you can get and learn the dogs before you buy your dog. The thing you need to look into learning the most is how to raise and care for the dogs first, if you do that it will make it so much easier for you when you actually get the dog home. The second thing you need is to study the dog’s look at pedigrees and see what the dogs came from and really study them; this will help you understand how a particular dog will perform for you. And last, if you get the dog you want raise that dog with all the love and caring you can give. And to me that will make the best bloodline. Stay game and always Live – N – Learn

To all the young, beginning, and seasonal (temporary) dogmen: As a young dogman, I am steadily observing people in the game. I finally came to the conclusion that there’s 100% real dogmen, 50% dogmen, and 25% dogmen. I see armatures, and beginners who go out and buy $1000.00 - $2000.00 tight bred curs. Then refuse to properly go through the steps that make an ADBA show champion. Here are some cut clear statements, I suggest to young dogmen before they get embarrassed.

    1) These animals are not robots/machines. They ALL will fold under the right pressure/circumstances such as the stressful time in the show ring. So stop searching all over “Tim buck too” for that perfect dog. All great attributes from one dog may be another big disappointment for others. One mans trash is another’s treasure and vice versa.

    2) If that dog is of age and still looks like a doxin, you need to move on. That dog will never be the high steeper you are looking to take the blue ribbon. Stop feeding that pet as he is not a true show dog, and if you feel he could show then get him in a crate and head up to the show. It’s senseless to buy a thorough bred Greyhound and never put the dog on a real racetrack. Maybe your insecure about your conditioning, every time you practice a keep on your dog you’re taking a real ADBA show out of them.

    3) Stop inviting the whole damn community to your yard. Then talk major trash after. It’s just a collection of athletes at different stages of developing muscle groups and work ethic. You do not see “Mike Tyson” publicly bragging about him beating his sparing partner….. Do you?

    4) Last but not least. Stop disrespecting other folk’s bloodlines. Some people spent decades developing their lines, but only to have a “wet-behind-the-ears”, happy to have a Pit Bull, young punk to heavily criticize. Until you step into the show ring…. Don’t talk s^!t! Until you you spend many weeks, months, working a dog…. Don’t say s^!t! Until you establish your OWN line…. Don’t even try to talk s^!t! That’s it folks, Oklahoma born… Oklahoma bred Antonio.
